Lakers already dont have any other PG..soo now they will trade the only one?

Lebron James is their point guard.

Also, that trade would free up money to sign players closer to James' timeline. They could then sign Cousins and a veteran point guard. Someone like Rajon Rondo.

he will handle the ball a lot,but he cant play on defense vs fast PG.. they need someone in there

OKC really needs to get off salary. How about Carmelo and a 1st rounder for Justin Holiday? This trade might need a little bit of salary filler going out. Not sure. OKC gets a wing that can shoot and defend a little, and Chicago gets a 1st rounder with no extra salary added for the summer of 2019. I would then work a buyout with Melo. More playing time for Hutch/Valentine/Nwaba.

OKC can’t play that tax payment, can they?

I think OKC has a future first going out already. Not sure when year they can next send one. Might be 2022

Bulls get: Ingram and deng

Lakers get: valentine and portis

Lakers clear 20 mil in cap. Bring in 2 shooters and more depth for the lakers. Lakers have 25 mil to offer cousins this year.

Next year lakers have max money again to offer Kawhi in free agency.

Bulls take a bad contract to get the sf of the future. Still have max money in 2 years once deng is up.

Dunn
Lavine
Ingram
Lauri
WCJ

Lakers next year.

Lonzo
Kawhi
Lebron
Kuzma
Cousins

That's an interesting trade.

I just don't see Lakers trading Ingram unless Kawhi is coming back.

I agree. I don’t think Ingram is on the table. I would definitely trade for him and Deng if he is available in trades that clear cap room for next summer. Interesting that Kuzma, like LeBron, is a Klutch Sports player, whereas Ingram isn’t. That shouldn’t matter, but does it?

If you notice, there are no more Mitch or buss players except Ingram. Magic and rob cleared house of the previous regime. That’s why I don’t see them trading lonzo and why the rumors are Kuzma is untouchable in Kawhi trades. Ingram is the odd man out eventually.

Bulls trade Lopez for Deng and 2019 first.

Who says no?

We don’t really need Lopez with Lauri, WCJ, and Portis.

Lakers shed a few million in salary, add a starting C and they’re pick is likely a late first rounder that in the grand scheme of things doesn’t matter as much to a team in win now mode.

2020 first round draft pick to Orlando
Oklahoma City's 2020 1st round pick to Orlando (via Philadelphia) protected for selections 1-20; if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Oklahoma City will instead convey its 2022 2nd round pick and 2023 2nd round pick to Orlando [Oklahoma City-Philadelphia, 11/1/2016; Orlando-Philadelphia, 6/22/2017]

I’ll take a 1st round pick years down the road.

Consider me in, I would even give them another shooter like Holiday, and if the Lakers don't want to part ways with ingram then fine, they can pay out that Deng contract.

They won't trade Portis in a deal with a Cap dump. GarPax love him.

Now with Rondo signed and no Cap Space... Ball with Deng seems like a possible trade while Kuzma or Ingram should be involved with the Kawhi trade.

If OKC stretches Anthony, it saves them over 90 mill off their LT bill. They'll do that and not bother trying to trade him by giving up picks.

And I don't even buy the Lakers trading for Kawhi now. I think they'll see what LeBron can do with this group and just wait for Kawhi next year and keep their kids, in the process.

Ingram and Deng for Valentine (Grant &/or Payne could be included if Lakers wish), a 2nd, Robin Lopez, and Asik.

Carter Jr/Lauri/Felicio
Lauri/Portis
Ingram/Hutch/Deng?
Zach or Hood (only if contract reasonable)/Nwaba/Kilpatrick?
Dunn/FA?

It's not sexy, but i love that young core and yup, flexibility going forward. Little market for Lavine, make him earn the pay day.

The above likely wouldn't stop any Kyrie + bring back Jimmy campaign for the ironic and unironic 2019 plan'ers out there watching.
