Why am I watching this chit show? Blazers down 30 and Dame is down with an injury.

AD is apparently out too though. People are getting beat up.

Yeeeah watching this game, Blazer's offense just sucks to watch. Especially when you compare it to the Heat's offense where it's constant player and ball movement. We like to crap on Spo a lot -- but teams would KILL to have him as their coach.

Yeah, this is puke OP. No wonder Melo fit right in.

One must wonder how could a team like Minny not make it to the bubble over this hot mess? They must be really really awful. Oof

Would draft Wiseman. Folks getting carried away with all this new fangled, shoot the ball from half court silliness. Somebody has to rebound and play defense. JW also got that good form on his jumper. Long as he'll too. Wiseman...easy.

@Baff and Iggs, I tried to watch the game the other night and just couldn't do it. The game should be a joy to watch, with intelligent ball movement, capitalize on mismatches, etc. Portland just takes turn isoing and tossing up prayers. Disgraceful.

I'm sold due to lack of better alternatives. Jimmy and Dragic seem to be always banged up we could use him.

How do we get him again OP? Nunn Kelly wuuut?

I went to the draft forum to see what the consensus was and left thinking that is the worst bunch of posters on this site. The absolute bottom of the barrel.

If we can keep his price tag down, then he's a solid signing. Still need a top ten dude, but he enhances an already standout lineup.

I think you have to move Nunn, and probably the pick on draft night. That's not a lot to give up either. Maybe get Indys 2nd rounder (if they have one). Andre balances the books on salary.

It was kind of a microcosm of his career wasn't it?

He's inconsistent, which is a bit of a concern, you can tell he plays hard though. I wouldn't say he's a shooter as much as I'd say he's a shot maker - not sure there's much of a difference in the way 3pts is 3pts, but he's not a pure shooter if you catch my drift.

He looks like he's lost some athleticism though. Didn't see him scoring in the paint or finishing like he did a couple years ago, most of his damage was coming from outside it felt.

Still - he's a capable two way player and would fit the 'culture' well. Coached by Tom Crean, and you know we like those Tom Crean guards.

I'd be concerned about a long term deal to him on big money, but I'd take the gamble on a 1yr trial run and make an assessment in 2021. If you managed to get the commitment from Giannis or another big time FA, re-sign him and let the good times commence.

No chance Tyler Herro is in the package though. None.

@Wilt. No way in he'll are we moving Herro. Indy takes a pick and a prospect (Nunn) at most and says thank you.

@dshearn. How much do you think FVV is going to garner on a new contract?

I think Vic is a more realistic option. There seems to be (rightly) question marks from Indiana's FO on paying him the big dollars.

FVV is looking for that first big payday, and the Raptors are going to have to pony up big time as he's going to have a long list of suitors. The great thing about FVV is he's terrific on or off the ball, plus is a very good defender for a guy you wouldn't expect to be.

We could, in theory, offer a sizeable contract to FVV but it would probably;
- Ruin 2021 pipedreams
- Probably mean Gogi looks elsewhere as his role would be reduced
- Not sure on capability to bring back Jae or DJJ

It would mean going forward with a FVV/Jimmy/Bam core with Tyler still on the rookie scale for a few years. That's a very good core, but not sure it is a championship winning one.

In a vaccum I think right now FVV is the better player, but he's going to cost probably $10m a year more than Dipo going forward. Not sure the differential is worth that much.
