Sure, he might not play as bad, but give the Cs its due.

Eh there were a number of open shots he just missed. Celtics defense was hardly anything to be impressed by tonight... Nets ultimately gave this one away.

Their margin for error is basically nil now, another game given away and it's over.

Yep. That's what happens when you're affected by the defense. You won't get into rhythm.

Unlike Kyrie who torched us tonight.

He was just off. Missing shots he normally makes.

In order for the Nets to win they need KD to be dominant. Its surprising they nearly won with this bad a game from him.

Still Nets have many other issues. So I don't buy that KD playing well will result in a win.

Late game execution was horrific today.

I don’t think they’re mutually exclusive. KD hits tough contested shots in his sleep, but he was off today. But Tatum definitely played ridiculous defense, not many guys block both KD and Kyrie jumpers ever, nevermind in the same game.

Yeah i reckon. 2 Durant's is too much for any team to overcome.

2 Durants...huh

Tatum played great defense in general but it just wasn't on KD.

I won't credit just Tatum but KD had several shots blocked/altered and that doesn't happen normally.

Big. You guys can’t admit when someone does a good job. Tatum’s defense and length bothered Durant. He got only 2 Poe. Shots all game. Everything else was pretty much contested.

He’s a great shooter. But asking him and Kyrie to make contested shot after contested shot is not sustainable.

It was a bad game.

Lets see Tatum do it again. Next game KD will be making shots again.

Ya it's OK to say "Wow the Celtics played amazing D tonight, Tatum especially" rather than "Durant was off" etc.

KD had a bad game but the Cs forced him into it, it wasn't a fluke. He was not getting clean looks all night, felt a lot.of bodies, and had a lot of quick defenders stripping the ball. He's gonna have to be a quicker decision maker in game 2.

Nets need Simmons, Harris and one more shooter. They gonna be killer next year with those guys.

Simmons in game 4? Lol. I guess if you want to sub for Drummond and Claxton and go small with Simmons at the 5.

I don’t know if the nets are better taking the ball out of Kyries hands on offense....but Ben on Tatum at the end of the game is infinitely better than having Kyrie on Tatum in the post

Celtics know how to grind at the defensive end no doubt ...one of the best defensive team in the league with two of the best perimeter defenders in Smart and Jaylen Brown. They did a great job playing physical, and making everything hard for Durant tonight. They definitely deserve credit for the job they did on Durant.

Lucky win by boston in a game where Irving own them and KD shoot badly.

Tatum dissappeared in 4º till the final sec.

Ben on offense stagnates that offense and allows them to sag clogging up lanes.... timelord versus Ben in regards to value to the team , timelord brings much more value because he doesn't hurt the offense nearly as much

I think for the long haul, Simmons/curry/Drummond for nets will be good .

But, Simmons is a non factor this year and are better left keeping him on bench. They have no shooting after curry.

Durant was getting hacked all game, so expect a parade to the FT line next time around.

I thought Tucker got away with murder last year but that was something else.

Nets fans, love him or hate him... Kyrie is the man
He is brilliant the whole game on offense, but the last defensive possession, if only he had a little bit sense where he was on the court, Tatum's play would not have happened...
