I wonder if those former players are actual legit fans of the jays. Like is donaldson going crazy when george hits the homer? Also, I wonder how they feel as former players who couldn't quite get it done while they were here.

As far as I know, Donaldson is still pretty involved with the city and stuff. He married a Toronto girl also.

Evanka’s always been one of my favourites.

Love her reactions.

Josh Donaldson threw out the first pitch last week...so you know he's still a very much involved alumni. Jose Bautista has been at the last 2 games and on the field celebrating with the team.

I expect to see some members of the World Series winning teams showing up to support the team and throw out first pitches. I'm sure Joe Carter will be at a game or two. I would love to see guys like Devon White, Dave Winfield, Dave Stieb, etc. make appearances.

Didn't expect to see a tweet from Roger Clemons though...but cool still.

He doesn't have to go far to throw out a first pitch at Rogers Centre. Josh Donaldson's wife, Brianna Miller is from Newmarket and still lives there. They have two kids, both born here. Josh spends at least half the year up here, including time in the winter.

In the offseason, my guy runs ball at LA Fitness in East Gwillimbury and plays road hockey in a Newmarket cul-de-sac like a true Ontario boy. He's a goddamn son-of-a-bitch but he's a good one and he's one of us.

He was interviewed last week by US media and talked about how great it is to be a pro athlete in Toronto because fans genuinely love you - even after retirement.

I'm going to say it again, Jays beat the Mariners, and I'm again rooting for the Jays here. But, despite how we've put it all together, we're gonna need full health, everything to click, and be one of the best early game teams in this world series.

The only weakness for the Dodgers, is the only thing the Jays have over the Dodgers. It's that bullpen, but the starting pitchers have great durability, enough to shut-down the Jays for 6/7 innings (get it?). Dudes like Kevin Guasman (arguably our best pitcher), has 4 straight seasons over 6.00 ERA in the playoffs. The offense will overpower the Jays pitchers, and the ATG defense of Blue Jays isn't enough.

A huge point is we got pushed to 7, by a much much weaker Mariners team. What do you think the superteam juggernaut Dodgers will look like? Dodgers are clearly winning this in 4/5.

Good job Jays, hopefully (3% IMO) you win the WS. If you do even make it to 6 games, it's very surprising. This is like the 2017 Warriors vs a worse version of 2025 OKC (maybe 2024 MIN). But who knows, because even the Raptors beat 2019 Warriors, so this may happen too!

Repetition ad nauseum doesn't make things true. Half of your posts by now must be variations of this.

Nothing is ever 'clear' in baseball, especially not playoff baseball. Worse teams beat better teams ALL THE TIME. There's no guarantee this goes in five or less. Stop pretending there is.

Why did we go to 7 vs Mariners, and Dodgers swept Milwaukee. Most likely, Dodgers take this series.

Also how come I get so much hate for saying the same thing others have said, but others get less hate.

Baseball is not as predictable as a lot of other team sports. On any given night the “inferior” team can win.

Because you keep repeating it like anyone should give a ****. Get a blog if you need the attention.

We're going to continue to beat up elite starters and then when the Dodgers trash bullpen comes in it's wraps. We're easily the better team. I got Jays in 6/7.

Here's how it works, I'm preparing us all for heartbreak. I don't want us to cry when we lose. So here's what I'm saying.

I want Toronto to win. But it's probably going the other way.

I never said anything about how we were going to lose game 7 either... I celebrated on Springer (ATG playoff performer) hitting the 3 run homer. Flexed on Mariners' fans they got butthurt. I'm definitely a Jays fan.

No one cares or needs you to do anything to prepare us for whatever. We are fans of Toronto sports teams.

Ohtani (the 4th starter) is a better pitcher than anyone we've faced. They have good endurance, and the pitcher's for our side isn't good enough for the Dodger's fire powered offense.

I can see the argument for why we might take the W in 7, and we are better suited than any other team. Many others have repeatedly wanted Jays to win, but know Dodgers probably take it.

Our strategy to win should be this:
Be one of the best early game teams ever, click for all of our hitters, and make it tough in the start.
If we can get to the bullpen early (which stepped it up in playoffs), we can win. But that depends if we're an early game team.

Let's go Jays!

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
