Hearing Suns want a first-rounder for Goran Dragic and, rest assured, they'll get it. Rockets got to be tempted.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Then why trade him? I think Gery is full of sh*t.

The only way the Suns can make the playoffs this year is if they:
A) make a major splash in a trade without giving up much
B) sign Amare and the medical staff revives his career and he averages 20 points a game (not counting on this)
C) Hornacek starts playing the young guys and they break out into awesome players

Otherwise, as it stands, this collection of players is going nowhere. Short term and long term. Three point guard lineup is dumb. Team chemistry is awful. Players look checked out. The amount of times I see Gerald Green or Marcus Morris take a terrible shot and then Hornacek throws his hands up in disgust and walks down the bench is far too often. It happens at least a couple of times a game.

Now I blame several things on Hornacek. Such as his reluctance to play Goodwin, Warren, and Ennis. His infatuation with a three point guard lineup. His lack of running plays for Alex Len. However, the players on this team are stupid and I would be interested to see what he could do if he had intelligent basketball players.

He said he is on gag orders. So either something is brewing, or they just got tired of reading their thoughts on a public board.

A gag order from whom?

Traxxe doesn't claim to be a Suns insider.. he has claimed he has connections in the journalism field. So guessing those writer folk aren't giving him anything or if so, have asked him to keep it to himself. If it's the latter, I don't get why the journalist would ask for silence now as opposed to the past.

I'd much rather keep PJ than Green.

If you get Jefferson, where do you play him? He's a C, and you can't start him next to Len. Do you bench Len after the season he's had? If you guys were upset about our young guys not getting any minutes, then you shouldn't be in favor of acquiring another center.

Only way? If guys just start playing like they did last season, they could easily make the playoffs. Often our guys aren't putting in their best effort. When they do, we play very well. The three pg group does quite well, so if our goal was to play better, people should be asking for more of it, right? Oh well, just more hating going on here, with poor solutions to our actual problems. All of which are fixable with the current rotational players.

Golden State looks like they're one of the best teams in a really, really long time. We'll have to see if they can make it out of the West, but there's no one formula for being a contender.

Understand the concern about him, but we aren't giving our pick and any member of our core in a deal like this.

Honestly I'd be shocked if Cho would even include the first, was more curious if that would even get it done from your perspective.

I would never root for a player that threw a woman down a staircase and then smashed her head into the stairs after he threw her. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5467630 And look at how many problems he caused on and off the court with the Pacers last season. He is a sick person. That is why no one wants him. He played at an all star level for the Pacers and they did not want any part of him anymore. The Hornets could throw in a first round pick and I would be shocked if someone would take him. Hard to justify trading Dragic (even though he might leave in free agency) for a guy like Stephenson.

but think about this wildcard for a second... Billy King. Who do you want off brooklyn?

Only thing I want from Brooklyn is Mason Plumlee, and that's not nearly enough for Dragic. They don't have any of their picks until the next century either.

Do you work for the Suns? Who are you kidding. Easily make the playoffs? How are they going to easily make the playoffs now with the Thunder tied in the loss column with the Suns. It is probably going to take roughly 50 wins to make the playoffs. That means the Suns will have to go 21-7 the rest of the season. You think this team is capable of that? No way. The Thunder sure are capable of finishing out the season that way though. The three point guard lineup does quite well? You must in denial or something. This team is screwed up. Even Ryan McDonough yesterday admitted the roster is unbalanced. And please do not argue that the three point guard lineup is good. I watched that lineup against the Rockets. It brought the Suns back into the game in the second quarter. Then in the fourth quarter, it was absolutely horrible. There were times Bledsoe and Dragic were the ones boxing out for rebounds. Give me a break about that three point guard lineup being good. It is not. There is no way to justify that lineup. It is just a gimmick that can catch teams off guard. It has no sustainability. It is awful.

I think the Warriors lose to the Spurs, Thunder, Grizzlies, and maybe even the Mavericks in a seven game series if Dirk plays great. They are a jump shooting, regular season team. They have no inside presence. Andrew Bogut is not a good offensive center. They allow so much more contact in the playoffs and Curry and Thompson will not get the same looks. Do not get me wrong, they have played incredible this year. I just do not believe jump shooting teams can win big. I still think the Spurs are the team to beat.

Cool story letsgo. :o

If our guys are putting in their best efforts, we can beat any team, so yes, I think we could make the playoffs. If our guys had put in their best efforts from the start of the season, yes, I think we could easily make the playoffs.

I'm not going to debate you eye theory.

As a 4? IT on a decent contract and a draft pick for him would make sense if we thought he fit. Haven't really heard Brooklyn trying to trade him though. Most of the talk is about Lopez.

How did we go from our GM saying we need to balance the team from being guard heavy to some idiot deciding we are sure its Dragic we intend to get rid of?

Don't listen to gery weofel he's a hack. He used to have some sources with the old bucks regime but now just throws **** at the wall.

With that said I do think the suns are shopping goran. I think it's funny that so many people blame IT for gorans regression. Really gorans numbers this year a pretty similar to what they were with a healthy Bledsoe only gorans not making quite as many shots (and that's just on him). The guy most effected by IT is green; those are the two who can't play together IMO.

Maybe it's the Bucks that is making inquiries and Gery got hold of it.

Maybe its all smoke screen and it's actually Bledsoe or Thomas who are being shopped.

I hope its Thomas who is on his way out. If we do trade Dragic and if we really do have interest in trading somehow for Love, then I would also like to throw assets at the Cavs for Shump. I still think Bled Shump can be a very dynamic defensive starting guard tandum.

I can see IT to the Lakers for Hill, who's going to be an expiring next year and would help us this year too.

He's likely not a starter, but he'd be a solid pairing off the bench next to Wright and Mook.

Return to Phoenix Suns
