Scott and kork for Lou does work financially. Just does he make us any better? Think he would have to go down to a 20 mpg role here

I don't think he can opt out. I believe he's under team control for dirt cheap next year.

Gotcha, my bad mis interpreted it

Np. On a strategic level, I don't see us paying big money for a pure PG this year. They're going to try w/Ben running the team one more time, with a shooting combo guard (Seth Curry).

That's why the interest in DJ, because he won't get big money and should be content to be a backup.

What do you think about Lou? Definitely content being a backup and salary wise Scott and kork get you him. But is he about to fall off a cliff?

I disagree. I bet we could find 25+ mpg for him. I think we want a PG who could run the team if Ben is out, and I don't think Lou can.

The Horford trade would create enough of a T.E. to absorb Lou if the Clippers wanted out/had something else in mind. Don't imagine they'd have much interest in Scott or Korkmaz

He could fall off a cliff, but he's only got 1 year left so its not a huge gamble. I'd much rather send Ferg instead of Kork though.

Kork just put up 40% 3PT on volume as a 22 year old. He still has significant upside and I'm not ready to bail on that for veteranosity.

Any interest in Demarre Carroll for the minimum as a mostly washed up guy that could be a big wing defender off the bench and make an open 3?

With morey making the comments about doc recruiting people here maybe Marcus Morris sign and trade where the first year he takes just low enough (12.5) for us to move those 3 for him?

I haven't crunched the numbers, but I believe its very difficult for us to do any sign and trade because we'll get hard capped at the Apron, which we're up against already. So I'm discounting any sign and trades this offseason.

Plus no way I see Morris agreeing to that or the Clips agreeing to that trade.

Think more at at least 3 players.
Backup C, backup pf and exp pg Who can create.

We have mle, TE (8.4 and 3.0 of horford and jrich trade).
Can also package z. Smith, khorkmaz and possibly someone else.
And of course vet min.

I think it’s almost guaranteed Scott moves today, and depending on the target smith is by far the most likely to go with for salary purposes

So are Shams/Woj just keeping quiet until 6 after getting the Bucks in trouble?

Lou Will would be awesome. Give him 20 min off the bench and let him cook when he's on.
