You know, while our bench production has been very low points wise, taking a look at the box score for the last 3 games our bench has also taken 28 shots per game to our starters at 64 shots per game (and that is heavily weighted by the Blazers game where our starters got a quarter off). I'm more than OK with that and tells me we have a pretty good rotation going.

Grayson Allen isn't going anywhere. Don't waste internet space speculating on it here.

But no way in hell would I trade Grayson for him. If I was Horst and the Celtics called me with that offer I would laugh and hang up the phone.

idk, on one hand i love Grayson's game and his fit with the team. on the other, we got him for next to nothing and his efficiency blossomed next to Giannis. So, just from a value perspective, it's a little enticing to pull off a buy low sell high with him. I guess it just comes down to what they feel is more valuable in the deep playoffs. A guy like Grayson or a guy like Williams.

Has it? His stats are nearly identical to what they were last year in Memphis. Beyond the stats, I doubt teams have changed their opinion of his value all that much.

Grizzlies were an overtime win from not even making the playoffs last season. Bucks are defending champs and a top contender to win it again this season. When you factor that into it, it's actually pretty impressive that Grayson's stats are nearly identical to his stats last season. Shows that he's legit.

And it's also pretty obvious he is capable of putting up bigger numbers offensively, but he's usually the 4th or 5th option on a championship team.

Grant fricking Williams for Grayson Allen??? Are we really doing this?

Some people must just want a trade at the deadline under any circumstance

Might as well put a call into Vivek to see if he’s interested in a Davion for Donte swap, can’t hurt.

MIL out - DDV, Semi, Hood, Nwora 2 future 2nd rd picks
MIL in - Muscala, K.Willims, Schroeder
MIL gets their front court help and bench scorer.

OKC out - Muscala, K.Williams
OKC in - Nwora, Semi, Hood, 3 future 2nd rd picks
OKC gets some expirings and picks for a couple guys that aren't in their longterm plans (according to their fans).

BOS out - Schroeder, future 2nd rd pick
BOS in - DDV
BOS saves $1m and gets a better fit.

Thats my favorite "realistic" deal.

Those people are definitely around. The trade deadline is like Christmas Day for them.

Eh, I guess. I would have expected a nice bump in his scoring efficiency, but it is actually slightly lower than it was for Memphis.

I'd definitely start Turner over Bobby. It's the same reason you would start Lopez over Bobby

The Bucks have no bench scoring, so moving Bobby to the bench would improve that.
The Bucks problem the last couple weeks has been their defense, not their offense. This improves the defense tremendously.

Having said that, not going to happen.

You don't play full bench lineups in the playoffs, so that makes bench scoring irrelevant.

What????? Portis came off the bench last season. Was he irrelevant? If the Bucks get Turner, they would be getting him to replace Lopez if they think Lopez is done.

What's irrelevant is where the scoring comes from, the bench unit doesn't play as a unit in the playoffs, the rotation gets chopped, and they get sprinkled in with starters.

Brook most likely is replaced by having more playable wings. We're not wasting our time with Bryn Forbes this year.

He’s a role player with a decent contract, who’s a bad defender and will get exposed in the playoffs, defense wins championships if anyone watched the Bucks last year. If y’all think Allen is untouchable, shut down this thread because nobody here wants to deal a role player to make the team better

I'm very invested in Semi and Hood for Nwaba, a trade I completely made up but which is objectively very good.

Allen is not all world defensively but to say he’s a bad defender says that at the very least you don’t know how to analyze defense.

ETA: Connaughton is not a good defender but without him the Bucks don’t win a title last year, so regardless this is a weird stance to take.

I think fans get hung up on the idea that Horst basically got him for nothing. In terms of offensive production, Allen is a slightly less efficient Bryn Forbes. So yeah, he's still just a role player. I wouldn't confidently call him a bad defender, but I'm also not sure he can defend in the playoffs either. A "good fit" with Giannis is anyone with a pulse and a jump-shot. Everyone except the big 3 should be on the table.

I think we could do better with both of those guys but wouldn't move them unless I had their replacements 100% lined up. Pat seems like a pretty integral part of our locker room, too, and not just because he's Giannis' lifting buddy.

I mean I'll trade Allen if it's a 100% upgrade, but not for someone like grant williams. I think last nights game shows Grayson still has other levels to unlock. I think he's just starting to get comfortable and his best is yet to come.

Grant Williams is a 6’6” PF/C. That’s the definition of a role player.

No way you trade Grayson for him

You're kidding right? Grayson Allen just last night had if memory serves, 3 separate assists to Giannis for dunks and multiple scores where he had to relocate after the initial action was stopped. He's also 6'5 with decent length and great elevation. Forbes is a better shooter off screens and on the move but does literally nothing else as well

Don't know if OKC does it, and Boston's short on second-rounders, but I like it as a Celtics fan..

what about Tristan Thompson, does he still have anything? Pacers fan claims to have inside info that he's going to be bought out and going to milwaukee :D (not that I believe him)
