Get Dru smith off the roster and sign both Bouyea and Alondes to cheap 2/3 year deals with team options.
Both have great athleticism and scoring talent - 2 things we really need.

Heat need pitbulls. Not another player who wants 15 plus shots a game. Need a glue guy

Heat had interest in him. Not sure why, but maybe the see path to make something out of his tools

The dude is just not very good. It’s his fourth year in the league and I can’t tell you if he’s actually a PG, or what his role is on an NBA team. He can’t shoot. He can’t finish. He can playmake a bit but he’s not an amazing defender either.
I dunno, he’s just another washed lottery pick. If the Heat see something though, I’d be happy to be wrong.

I'd like to point out that the FO has nearly REFUSED to address the PF situation since Butler showed up in Miami, outside of acquiring a rental in Crowder for 1/2 a year and getting a gift in a buyout player in Love, the FO has put nearly 0 resources into finding a PF for a back or even starting. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a regular starting PF in the NBA in the last half decade (maybe more) I wouldn't take ahead of Highsmith. The lack of even giving a **** about PF not only hurts Miami's starting lineup but it also weakens the rest of the rotation by players out of position at PF or having to guard up.

Crowder for a half a year and Tucker for a year. Bam’s had to deal with so much instability at that position since he’s been here. Clownish for a franchise that’s had a great history of the PF being a foundational piece to the team. They think everyone is Battier who was actually 6’8 230 and Lebron 6’9 240. That was our small ball PF rotation but really not small at all lol

It’s comical when we think about that teams small ball when you had Bosh 6’11 230 Lebron 6’9 265 Battier 6’8 230 Birdman 6’10 240 Haslem 6’8 235 i mean honestly compared to what we are doing today Spo and the front office are living in some odd world right now when it comes to small ball. I remember how savage Birdman and his shotblocking was but now we run Kevin Love at Center? I want my Miami Heat back not Mike D’Antoni small ball

I mean Embiid is potentially out for the season, definitely a massive chunk of it so I’d say the Sixers are done for. Bucks have Doc Rivers now and honestly they have had a 2nd round exit look to them all season.
Pat needs to strike.

I mean, let’s be honest…Battier himself was too small to play the 4 and only really did so because the understanding was that LeBron would move to the 4 more in the postseason (but conserve energy in the RS). The 2013 and especially 2014 season, you could see it was taking a lot out of him physically and hurt his shooting. Front courts were also bigger then - Battier would be a lot more appropriately sized (although still undersized) for the 4 in this era.

These front courts are starting to get a lot bigger again while we double down going smaller. I’m watching the Nuggets and Jovic, Gordon, and Porter Jr just seem massive. Spo would play Braun and Caldwell Pope at the 4
