That's what I hear about a lot of guys. Lou Williams is an example of another one. At some point we've got to get someone who can score besides Russ. Plus, everyone says it's easier to hide a defensive liability as a guard than a big man.

I agree, we need scoring. But I don't exactly like the idea of giving up on defense for that. I will cost us because Dipo's offense is not nearly bad enough to make up for his defense.

Hell, every fan will be doing that for the next 6+ years having to watch absolute trash night in and night out.
The Oklahoma City Nets

If he wants to leave, fine. However, what indication has he given that he wants out. He's not Paul George :-?

You mean BEFORE!!!

If Sean Kilpatrick is available for as little as a second round pick, then he makes all the sense in the world

Can we give Oladipo another year before we decide to try and trade him? I really wish Donovan gave Dipo more of a role in the regular season, its not his fault he is use to playing as a role player instead of a legit 2nd option.

No. Role players aren't worth $20 million. I don't blame him for taking the money that was offered to him.

And to be clear, Presti knew this going in. He want acquired to be a second option, but for some reason Presti was okay with paying him like one.

He was like our 8th best player in this series. He surely wasn't that bad in Orlando.

no. he definitely looks regressed from his time in Orlando. looks a lot more inept and unsure on offense than he did in Orlando

We should help him back his bags then.

Ok even if we were set on trading him, I personally think it would be a smarter move to hold off another season since I don't think his value is going to go any lower bar a serious injury, he has the potential to increase his value since he is still young.

Watching Dipo this series, I think he struggled a lot mentally, he never really looked comfortable or sure of himself, which were also problems during the regular season. I partly blame this on Donovan since I don't think he gave him a big enough role or gave him enough responsibilities during the regular season, there is no excuse why he wasn't given more opportunity to run the 2nd unit and semaj running the ball up and initiating the offense when he was on the floor.

At some point vic deserves blame for not demanding the ball when he was with the second unit. Yeah, Donovan was stupid, but Dion took it upon himself to look for his offense when he was with the bench last year, Vic could have done the same.

Deing + Dunn +MN 2017 1st RD Pick (6th overall)
For
Adams + Sabonis +OKC 2017 1st RD Pick (21st overall)

Why would you want Adams?

I wouldn't even though it clears up some salary for us. I don't much care for the idea of Dieng as our primary defensive anchor. Dunn is not someone I see fitting in with our current roster even though I think he's starting to show flashes. There's no one at/around 6 I see as an immediate contributor in a playoff setting (which is what we need for Russ' timeline) even though a lot of them will develop into studs. I think Adams has gotten incredibly underrated by our fanbase because of his contract.

I don't think it's a horrible deal. It's a decent starting point. I didn't really see Dunn play much though.

Where would that leave us. He is 25. Let him keep growing as a player this was his first playoffs series. This team is young and received some great playoff experience. What they need to do now is work on their game. Everyone needs to get better.

Sam? Is that you? Victor hasn't gotten better in three years. Russ is in his prime now. We don't have time to wait.
