What facts? You have Ayton listed on your Cavs fantasy team so we can't have an unbiased discussion right off the bat. I'm not a Mavs fan or a Suns fan, Doncic has been the best rookie, you posting stats means nothing because Ayton will get his 17/10 and the Suns will lose by 30. What he's doing has absolutely no impact on games, he's not a good rim protector yet, and while they're better with him on the floor it's not saying much. Meanwhile Doncic controls the flow of the game like CP3/Bron, he is by far the most impressive rookie and no amount of acronym stats will change my mind on that, Doncic has a tangible impact on the outcome of games and keeps the Mavs in games with teams the Suns get their doors blown off by.

And why is that? The Suns are 10 points per 100 possessions better with Ayton on the court. The Mavs have the same NetRtg with Doncic on or off the court. The Mavs played the 2nd easiest schedule in the league. Half of their games was against teams below .500. The Suns played only 2 games against teams with a losing record (2nd toughest schedule): win vs Doncic's Mavs and a loss vs the Nets who are 6-7 this year.

he's gonna run from the facts again. don't waste your time on him bro

A typical progression of conversation in rookie forums:

John: "Man these rookies are all great this year!

Bob: "Agreed, I think Doncic, Ayton and Young will all be HOF's!"

Melanie: "There ya go again, everyone underrating Bagley!"

Bob: "I like Bagley, he is just a level below top 3"

Kareem: "I think that they will all win couple of MVP's, but I think Bagz will have more MVP titles than Young and Doncic."

John: "Wow, you sure are a fanboy. Anyone who is objective sees that Young will be better than Doncic or Bagley."

Bob: "Did you just say that Young is better than Doncic? I can't believe I just read that. Have you been watching any games lately? Doncic is miles better than Ayton or Young."

Wang: "WTF, stop sucking Luka's penis, Ayton is the best rookie, even this guy on twitter says so."

* Notice how I am making sure there is all kind of diversity here. Oh, and Bob is gay and John is vegan and ex-WNBA player. *

Kareem: "O.M.G!!!1 Bagley is the best talent in the class, Divac said so after the draft. It's not even close. It was only a decision between him and MPJ!! We wouldn't draft Doncic or Young even if we had all top 5 picks!"

John: "Bagley is a bust and Doncic has reached his ceiling."

Bob: "My dick has reached the ceiling when yo momma visited me last night. I wouldn't trade Doncic for Ayton, Bagley and Young combined! Look at his CIMNQNS advanced stat in third periods."

Wang: "And1 for John. Ayton and Young are the best rookies in this class, better than Curry and Shaq."

John: "Ayton is a bust too."

Wang: "**** you, I'm outta here."

I swear, this has happened 50 times in last month.

Nah, Doncic is ROTY, if you have to post advanced stats on who the most impressive rookie has been you should just keep it moving.

I mean, this tweeter is also as biased as it comes. To have the audacity to say Doncic and Ayton have "similar AST%"...Doncic has a AST% of 21.4, Ayton of 16.9 - how is that similar? Not to mention that Ayton's AST% doesn't look that sustainable, and don't many of his assists come off of hand-offs and stuff like that? He hasn't cracked 10% AST in 4 of his last 6 games.

I agree that both are close so far from their level of play (I take Doncic as a prospect all day), but just citing some of these have-it-all "stats" like PER, WS or BPM and then pretend that proves everything is just as wrong as going with pure eye test and claiming Luka is leagues ahead.

Gotta put him as at least an equivalent prospect as Markkanen now. Dude does a lot of things well, has a high bball iq, is deceptively athletic, and is 19.

The 2 guys who almost always do the right things on the court are doncic and WCJ. both are also stat stuffers.

doncic is almost the perfect decision maker in the making. You can run your entire offense through him all game long type of player. In that regard Dallas should move DSJ ASAP. Get the most they can get for him now. Doncic is just better but a player like DSJ is always going to want the same role, always want the ball.

it is too bad my bulls couldn't mortgage Zach, Dunn, Portis, and Niko and future picks for a top 3 pick this year and grabbed Doncic.

Doncic, WCJ, And lauri mark would have been nasty.

He needs to take more open 3s from the assist. He can stroke 'em.

Thank God last two games he's taking them. It was infuriating to watch him pass up corner 3s in previous games. You remember my whining about it I'm sure. He's already the best creator on the team outside of Lou. Gotta attack.

Trae #3 in the NBA in assists with 8.2 and this is without John Collins.

The most stupid thing about the tweet is that AST% is normalized to 100 possessions so it is independent of USG% ("has a similar AST% to Luka, and all on 6% less usage ... is nonsense)
