Good. Bev is a tomato can but Rondo would have some legit value for us. Honestly Rondo is the prototype for the kind of vet backup PG we need, just a perfect fit down here for the identity we're obviously going for

And don't look now but Rondo has actually become a reasonably decent 3pt shooter. Since joining the Lakers in 2019 he's shot 36% on 2.6 attempts in 139 regular season games (including 40% last season), and upped that to 40% on 2.7 attempts in 29 playoff games with the Lakers and Clips

Rondo in a Heat uni would make me a little sick given how much I despised him as a Celtic, but he'd be a terrific addition. He'd actually be quite solid next to Herro in the backup backcourt, and he protects us incase Lowry goes down with an injury. He's not an amazing floor spacer, but he has improved as a shooter since his early days.

Lowry / Rondo / Vincent / Jarreau (2-way)
Robinson / Herro / Oladipo (inj)
Butler / Strus / Garrett (2-way)
Morris / Tucker / Okpala
Adebayo / Dedmon / Yurtseven / Haslem

I can work with that. Backup PG the one real spot I feel a little thin, as well as backup SF - but there's enough options to patch fix the wing, not so right now in the backcourt with Dipo injured.

Rondo’s contract is a lot easier for the Grizz to buy out. If we sign Rondo to a vet minimum he gets the same amount that UD just got which is 2.7. Rondo is owed 7.5 on his current contract. Grizz and Rondo could agree to a 4.8 buyout. Rondo gets 2.7 but his cap hit is only 1.6 as a tenured veteran much like UD. We just have to figure out a way to get KZ off the books before the deadline.

Should be doable. Some crappy team like Cleveland or OKC will probably take a flyer on him and see if he can show something.
