Trendon Watford - F - 6’9 - 25
Career 35% 3pt shooter which isnt terrible including two seasons at 39% on limited playing time. Decent rebounder and gets to the line with a 35% free throw attempt rate. Could be a Brissett type pick up whos not as tenacious rebounder but a better shooter. Don’t know much about his defense

Jabari Walker - F - 6’9 - 23
Really good rebounder, gets to the line often and solid defender. 3pt shot is suspect even though he shot 39% on 1.2 3PA last year. But out of everyone on this list he’s the only one who actually caught my attention while watching games on league pass.
I like him

Jake LaRavia - F - 6’8 - 24
Career 37% 3pt shooter including 42% last year. Doesnt really do anything else well but big floor spacers are a hot commodity so might need to pay him TMLE or something

Josh Minnott - F - 6’8 - 23
Played very little basketball in the NBA but his defensive numbers look really good so that intrigued me.

Sandro Mamu - C - 6-11 - 26
Floor spacing big shooting at a decent clip but overall a good offensive big. Highers ast % than turnover %. Not good on defense

Paul Reed - C - 6’9 -26
Kinda like the opposite of Mamu, hustle, energy, defense guy. Tanked his value with the year he had but could be worth a flier

Tre Mann - G - 6’3 - 24
Surprised the Hornets let him go but he is a scoring guard so could be a cheaper option if we end up trading Simons. Can create his own shot and 40% from 3pt on over 4 attempts per game. I like his game, but similar to PP.

Bryce Mcgowens - G - 6’7 - 23
This guy always played well against us when he was with Charlotte so just a vibes add to the list. Idk what he did after he left Charlotte but seems like nothing

Lol so much for my bargain bin hunting. 2 of these guys were among the first players to sign

Okay, I'm gonna go for the positive. Instead of Joe giving Luke and Al all the center minutes, Queta and William should get however much time they can earn.

Replaces Lonzo. For those of us who have mentioned interest in Coby White, this can't HURT his potential availability. Does not seem likely though.

Celtics are heading towards having their worst offseason in recent memory. They will be much worse next season unless some major moves are made, which is unlikely,

I mean based on our roster now, they earned their minutes the second they hit their growth spurt. At this point they play by default.

If you assume that the two 2nd rounders get 2-way deals, then we have 13/14 NBA spots filled and 2/3 two-way fills. Seems like a good shot Drew Peterson gets one of those spots too (likely 2-way but maybe NBA if they need to save). We'll see what else they do, but really by efault they're going to get playing time. Not even about "earning" it.

I mean, are you reading the room? Tatum is out for the year. They are going to not going to be as good. No one is expecting them to be a title contender. They will be lucky for the playoffs.

That's a big blow to the Cavs.

The more the Cs should play to win this coming season.

I mean, being worse doesn't really make it a bad offseason in their scenario. Tatum being out obviously dooms them from the start. But further than that, they're in a situation where they had to make moves for financial motivations over on court.

The best GM work doesn't always line up with the year the team improves, and in fact usually it doesn't. A lot of the times improvement comes from no brainer moves. The hard work is the years of laying the foundation to set you up for those moves. Celtics are closer to that stage right now between injury and their cap sheet situation.

So far they've managed to shed massive salary in the current year and future seasons without giving up any future picks. That's a pretty good start for them in their current situation right now.

Most discouraging though is they have done anything yet that will make then more competitive in 26-27.

Hopefully it sets them up a year from now, but that’s not guaranteed…
