Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion
Thinking about it..
It's better for the team if he plays off the bench until he's ready. As a back-up SG, playing alongside TJ. With Bayless/JJ starting then have TJ/Fultz off the bench.
It's not derogatory, it's more of roster construction and timeline. Biid and Simmons are like 3rd year pros quite frankly, then we a bunch of guys who can compete in the play-offs like Dario, JJ, Bayless, TJ and Amir.
We're more of trying to compete than trying to develop on this stage although both compete and develop do work hand in hand.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

You gotta start the number 1 overall pick.
10/27/16

I just hope Fultz is healthy. I want the team to get an honest picture of what they paid for.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

The year is 2027. The Sixers are a full on dynasty but Fultz's RPM is .05 behind Josh Jackson's and Lloyd won't let you forget it.

LOL... This basically translates to "I hope Fultz gets healthy so that injury can't be used as the reason he struggled to hit his potential. It's more important I am right than the 76ers are good"

Plot twist
2027
Best player in the league is Lauri Markkanen, second is Jahlil Okafor.

No. You got it wrong. If Josh Jackson is trash too, I won't bring him up. I would just keep posting, 'the trade up to get Fultz was dumber than the Okafor and Evan Turner picks...'

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion
Feels like this is high school again for Fultz, as a freshman he doesn't get the right to audition for starting point guard as Brett Brown already committed to Simmons before the first scrimmage (where Fultz team destroyed Simmons team by 15 points).
Now he might get cut from the starting lineup (just like he got cut from Varsity). Hell some say he should play SG (so out of position) next to the great TJ McConnell? I mean just trade him asap if he plays zero minute as his natural position.
It's hilarious how missmanaged and underestimated he is. Look there's this Ben Simmons guy who never ran PG in his life and there's this journeyman called TJ McConnell and we think they can run the point better than you...
If you just want a 3&D combo guard who defends and makes open shots then trade for Donovan Mitchell or Malcolm Brogdon. Fultz is gonna be James Harden, so either give him the respect and put him in position to succeed or watch your asset get undervalued until you get swindled like the Thunder.

Man all you have done is been hard on Simmons all summer and passive aggressively trash him in posts... just because he stands in the way of your boy Markelle being the starting point guard.
We have a potentially generational talent in Simmons who is creating mismatches all over the place and only just started to begin to scratch the surface of what he is capable of doing at that position and you already want to destroy it.
Markelle will get his run at point guard handling the ball... don't worry. I think they'll share it about 50/50 when all is said and done. Right now though Markelle should be in a Psychologists office laying down on a chair and talking about why the f he changed his shooting motion to push free throws like a 10 year old girl... rather than worrying about why he isn't starting at point guard.

No, not quite right. I'm not hoping to prove I'm right... I already know I'm right... It won't make me feel any better that you have to figure it out later.

Simmons is the better PG and overall player plus he’s better with the ball in his hands than playing off ball. You don’t move Simmons off ball for a player like Fultz. And at this time TJ is better too.

I think if you start him when he’s clearly not ready to start that will ruin his confidence more. He’s going to need to take time. We need to be patient with him. He isn’t ready to be a starter. Let him come off the bench until he warrants starting if he ever does warrant it.

No you don’t. Why? He doesn’t even know how to shoot anymore. Until he fixes what is wrong with his shot he needs to come off the bench. Just because he was the number one pick doesn’t mean he’s ready to start. We all know he’s not ready to start. He needs to get mentally right. Fix his mental side first. Ease him in. I think it’s best if he comes off the bench playing off ball with TJ. All players develop at different paces. He’s behind other rookies in development. Plus he might play better when Simmons and Embiid are not on the court and he may look for his shot more.
