He will never shoot well until he fixes that damn form. I said it a million times in the pre draft process. It's why I didn't want him. He's a good facilitator, well-rounded player, but he will never be a great scorer or shooter in the NBA with that jumper. It's freaking impossible and unnatural.

It's like trying to play competitive video console gaming hitting the triggers with your pinkies, or playing tennis and trying to hit the ball with the handle instead of the racket, or using a lefty hockey stick when you normally use righties. You can't shoot effectively from the opposite side of your head, it's ridiculous. Until that changes, he will never maximize his shooting percentages.

It's natural to him though, if you play with a lefty hockey stick your entire life then it's nearly impossible to change to a right one.

Ball tried to change his form in the preseason of UCLA, but shot abysmal and basically decide to stick with the shooting habit he developed throughout his entire youth. I don't really mind the weird shooting form that much, apart from the increase in difficulty when shooting going to the right more difficult.

I think it's the lower body that's going through an adjustment period to the NBA 3.

I was hoping we could find a way to sneak back into the top 11 or so to get him. He was a very good prospect and would have been a really nice fit next to Simmons as a potential 5th starter or 6th man. I imagine he'd look much better right now in a role where he didn't have to do as much offensively.

Why would we top any offer for Mitchell? We had already flushed two lottery picks on the same position. They're going to spend all of their assets on two rookie PG/SGs to do perform the same role?

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Well unless the NBA starts requiring you play 7 people at a time I'm not sure how many roles the has has left that it doesn't have someone longish term in already. Looking at it from the perspective of the night of the draft, Once covington signs his extension you're going to have 4 of the 5 starting spots controlled for at least the next 4 years (counting bens rfa year.) Then you have Dario, TLC, Korkmas all locked in for 4-5 years if you want them. TJ and Holmes have 2 years then they may want an extension. Theres picnic baskets and the other Euros. There's still the 3 1st rounders we have in the next two years. Oh and there's also the max cap space next summer.

In the NBA only like 9 guys get regular playing time. And in the playoffs that really gets cut down to 7 or 8. I named more than 12 people above. They need to start consolidating the assets into an actual rotation or there just not going to have enough playing time for everyone.

I also don't think it would have taken anything crazy to top Utah's offer (lyles and a late first)

I know we may not have ended up with Simmons, but it's scary to think what this team would look like with Porzingis getting Saric and Holmes' minutes.

yea, porzingis is a monster. i'm more impressed with porzingis than i am of giannis. and i think it has to do with my low expectations of porzingis as a #1 option. realizing the guy is a legit 7'2 or 7'3 guy who can do everything on the court on offense and defense. i'm really amazed

We would have ended up with Simmons if we drafted Porzingis. Hinkie blew that. We should have Embiid Porzignis and Simmons. Hinkie flopped.

I said last year I’d take Porzingis over KAT and I’m saying that today. Porzingis is a beast an an MVP candidate TODAY! Harden Giannis LeBron Porzingis and Kyrie are my front runners for MVP so far.

Kyrie is just too nice. He closed a tight game out in Atlanta tonight. Tatum hit a big shot down the stretch, as well.

Tatum is out here winning games for the Celtics in crunch time and was 3-5 from 3 lol. Keep balling out young man and show BC how dumb he was to trade up. People said he couldn’t shoot 3s and didn’t have the range. I thought his shooting was real. He might shoot over 50% from 3 this year. Tatum is playing great while Fultz forgot how to shoot. Great job BC. Big dummy.
