Kings fan:

Saw you guys talking about 3 for 5&10 I think Vlade does that if you throw in Roizer. You'd be able to get Smith(Fox)/Markkennen

Kind of damned if we do, damned if we don't right now on George.

If he goes to the Cavs, a 5% chance of beating them gets severely diminished.

If he goes to the Lakers, it shoots some of the value of the LAL/SAC pick.

Screw George right now lol.

I come here in peace having been a Fox fan throughout this process - and not having watched Fultz play as I suspect is the case of many of us on the East Coast.

Cleveland has nothing to offer George except playing with LeBron. That's big. But they have no draft picks and no players that will make Indiana competitive - Love (no), Tristian Thompson (no), Kyrie Irving (no), JR Smith (no).

I don't know how they would make the numbers work to re-sign Georges in June 2018. But there's really no incentive in trading (giving) George to Cleveland (other than Cleveland's 2021 and 2023 picks) other than pull a Hinkie. Complete tank for the next three years.

Sure the Celtics should offer something, but if I were the Pacers I would insist on picks…and more picks if they're asked to take on payroll. Without George, they won't be competitive for another three, four or five years soonest.

They're in almost exactly the same situation - but for different reasons - that the Sixers were with Andrew Bynum.

I would think the wisest course moving forward for the Celtics since Ainge rolled the dice with the signing Horford (he had hoped for Durant) is to deal for Jimmy Butler. Chicago will try to extort more than two picks and a player. But they hold no cards either. They are going nowhere fast. Wade's days are numbered. Rondo's trick or treat. Get Chicago to throw in Robin Lopez to solve your center problem. And re-sign Butler before June 2020 to go along with your excellent core - which Ainge, apparently, has committed to.

Try to hold on to the Memphis and Clippers picks. They could be good.

Clippers pick will never be good. It's lotto protected for like 3 years, then 2 2nds.

The problem is it appears that Ainge might want Jackson/Tatum and DSJ. It is way too risky that those players would be available

He must be who Wyc was referring to when he said we'll only trade the #1 pick for "the second coming". Wyc can see the future!

Teams can agree on a trade on draft night and execute the trade in July. That way Celtics can use their cap space, and then send less salary and go over the cap if needed.

So what would a trade look like in that case? We sign Hayward and then trade Bradley, 3 and Rozier for Butler? Would that work?

I've come to the conclusion that Philly just makes trades and does things to make sure the Celtics are screwed, cause they know we're the only team standing in their way to Sixers dynasty once the Warriors era is over.

I think we'd take Jackson Vlade has stated he wants to come out with a sf/pg either would work. Both player fit next to Hield/Skal/WCS like a glove but I believe a Jackson would be harder to find than a pg. there's pgs every year

There's no way that combo can be had unless 10 became 7

Some reporting suggests that the Lakers/Sac pick combo is entirely top 1 protected.

Yeah, kinda vague. For Summer League? For training camp? Actual part of the roster? A two-way contract guy who plays in the D-League? Maybe Smitty can get us some details.

Trading down to #5 makes sense especially if Ainge wants one of Jackson/Tatum/Isaac/Smith.

#3 for #5 + #10 could be great.

Use #10 + LAL18 + some of our rotational players to trade for Butler? I would even add some other assets not named Brown/#5/BK18

Turn #1 into Butler + #5 8-)
