The difference in the Steelers from the first 3 or so weeks until now is ridiculous. Especially in their offensive line.

Can someone tell me why the clock is running after Mendenhall ran out of bounds? The same thing happened with Abbrederis getting out of bounds late in the Badger game yesterday. Has the rule been changed in a way that I just missed? I thought that if you get out of bounds, the clock stops until the next play starts.

Not sure about the exact times, but it starts running when they set the ball down for the offense as long as it isn't in the last 2 minutes of 1st/3rd or last 4 minutes of 2nd/4th, or something to that extent. I think it was like 5 years ago maybe that they did that?

Well, it just happened again in the game, and the clock started after the ref set the ball down. Hmmm. I can't believe I missed that rule.

I'd guess, GJ, that it would be 2nd/4th if they did the 2 minute thing. 1st and 3rd wouldn't make sense.

Suck for Luck is down to Miami and Indy, most likely. I would think the two most fitting places. Denver should play in as well, but they probably will fall short.

Last night, I had a friend, who is a big dolphins fan, go to a halloween party with a dolphins jersey and a bag over his head. He had written on the bag "0-6" -- "Suck for Luck"

Unfortunately it still looks likely to me that Philly will win their division. The Giants remaining schedule: @ New England, @ San Fran, Philly, @ Saints, Packers, @ Dallas, Washington, @ Jets, Dallas. That looks like 8-9 wins to me.

Dallas choking away 3 wins really kept the door open for the Eagles. As bad as they look tonight, the Cowboys ought to be sitting at 6-0 or 5-1 with a relatively easy schedule remaining.

Assuming they win tonight, Philly should win the division if they can go 7-2 over their last 9.

I'm no longer certain that the Saints are better than the 49ers.

If they were to play next week on a neutral field, i'd give the Saints a slight advantage, but that's it. If the Dallas kicker misses that 48 yard field goal with no time left in regulation, San Fran is 7-0 right now.

They won at Philly, at Detroit, and at Cinci who is 5-2, along with destroying Tampa who then went on to beat the Saints. The only reason i'd give the Saints the edge is they have Brees and the 49ers have Smith. That said, as much as i keep expecting Alex Smith to revert back to being the Alex Smith bust he previously has been, the guy week after week keeps playing within himself. Play smart, don't turn it over, let the running game work, just get first downs, and let their good defense operate ahead or in a close game.
