(Bear in mind that under the Ryan Anderson scenario, we would project to have about $8M in cap room next season assuming Lewis was bought out and Blatche was amnestied next summer. As it stands now, we will have no cap room.)
Assuming no Okafor trade, a Booker for Anderson swap, and the utilization of our 2nd round picks on Q.Miller and Marcus Denmon, our lineup would look like this:
PG Wall/???
SG Beal/Crawford/Denmon
SF Singleton/Q.Miller
PF R.Anderson/J.Vesely
C Nene/Seraphin/Blatche
Still very weak at SF, but the rest of the lineup is very good, and complimentary to Wall. And Quincy Miller at least has the upside potential to be an impact player down the road. SF could also be addressed next year through the draft or with the upcoming $8M in cap room.
Well, I consider Ilyasova a better player than Anderson, so I'd rather see that same lineup with him at PF. And in theory, we could have signed him outright (although as has been pointed out, he would probably cost more than Anderson - can't believe I'm typing that!), meaning Booker would still be available to put in the lineup or use in a trade for a SF.
I do wonder what impact it would have on Seraphin & Vesely. They haven't completely proven they deserve to be primary starters, but we obviously hope they will get there. That said, with Nene & Anderson in place for 4 years each, it may mean putting those guys on the back burner for now.
