im sure the wolves are eager to trade love, who is locked up for several more yrs, for not even a full season of dwight before he leaves em high and dry.

Main option in the post. I know the idea of trading Dwight is crazy but getting what we need to contend for Pau is far from a sure thing.

Where do people come up with these ideas?

What about Houston? Would they be willing to lose Lin, who has been a disappointment?

Rockets send:
Lin
Delfino
Patterson

Lakers send:
Pau
Ebanks
Blake or Morris

Harden + Pau would be a nice 1-2 punch, in an offense where Pau is the clear cut 1st option in the post. Lin gives us the ability to limit Nash's minutes or play Lin at SG if they're both playing well. Lin & D'antoni seems like a match made in heaven, we might actually build leads with our bench. Delfino & Pat Pat are great fits. Thoughts?

he hasnt been a disappointment, really he wasnt shooting well to start the season and then he had to fit in next to harden who was dominating the ball. theres a pretty big difference between that and a disappointment. and hes been playing better now. i highly doubt theyd move him + players they like in patterson/delfino for pau. they will have max cap space next year and pau ruins that.

Iggy/Brewer
Hamilton/
Faried/Koufos
Pau/Mcgee

lol theres no way denver is trading gallo for gasol, are you kidding? please explain to me why that would be a smart decision for them. hes 24 and arguably there best player when hes not shooting like ass, and you want them to trade that for a 30+ pau gasol who doesnt even push them much, if any, closer to title contention?

Fooling around.....

Lakers trade gasol, Blake, morris, ebanks and get Ryan Anderson, Xavier Henry, and devin Harris

New Orleans trades Ryan Anderson, Xavier Henry and a second round pick and gets ebanks and josh smith

Atlanta trades josh smith and devin Harris and gets morris, gasol, Blake, and the second round pick.

New Orleans will be strong defensively, we get a strech 4, Atlanta gets a legit big man to push harford to pf....

Ps.... Harris sucks balls but is an expiring contract, so is henry

One of the fairer trades I've seen in a while, first suggested by someone on LG, involved Pau/Meeks for Ellis/Dunleavy/Udoh, and I admit I'm intrigued. When Ellis was floated in trades for LO two seasons ago, I wasn't sold. Playing in on those lottery Dubs teams inflated his worth in many ways, but in this offense, it would be a non-issue. Ellis is sixth-man material more than capable of creating opportunities not just for himself but for others, and Dunleavy is every bit a three-point marksman as Meeks was and swing-man ready.

The Denver deal is attractive too, but fair? Not quite.

But still, it's early yet, and we won't know for sure what to expect from Pau until Nash returns. If D'Antoni continues to play him like he did on Friday, and Pau can make his shots closer to the basket, expect the team to roll with him at least one more season.

I kinda like that trade but the way Meeks played the last game, I don't know. I think I'll pass. I wanna see how our team plays with Nash. And then we can go from there. As much as Pau isn't playing that well right now, he is our 4th-5th best player. I think we're gonna be fine.

You are heavily overrating Gallo....he is a pretty damn mediocre player, and Ty Lawson and Iggy are by far better than him. I'm not even talking about the trade. But Gallinari is really not that good of a player at all. A so-so defender who isn't a great rebounder and isn't a playermaker, who hasn't averaged over 16 points in his career, and while his ts% is pretty decent you can't be the best player of a team like denver scoring an efficient 15-16 points (not efficient at all this year), compared to Lawson who is comparable as a Scorer while running the offense, or Iggy who is also comparable as a scorer, while far better playmaker, better rebounder, and arguably top 5 defender in the league. Gallo is not that good, and I could actually see the Nuggets trading him for Gasol easily if that was on the table, but I don't think the Lakers would do that trade.

And no on Ellis...He would be awesome in this system if we only had one of Kobe or Nash, but with both of him that's just one too many ball-dominant guards on the roster. And I don't trust a Dwight/Jamison/Hill/Udoh FC. Ideally if we trade Pau, we need one starting caliber PF back, with another solid bench guard/wing man. The starting Caliber PF can split minutes with Jamison at the 4, and Hill could backup Dwight.

Udoh is valuable to them, but I rather take an expiring contract in dalembert

Gasol, Blake, duhon .... For Ellis, dalembeast, dunleavy... Our bench would become solid

Meeks is a baller in this system.... No way he goes now especially with us giving the best player in the trade.

Pau for Varajeo, Luke Walton, Boobie Gibson

Luke and Gibson are on the last year of their contracts and Varajeo only makes 20 mill for the next two years
