Roy only being 28 is also very interesting.

Not saying he's a sure shot to turning it all around playing in Los Angeles....
But you just never know.

No!!! not our 2nd picks, really wanted to find the next Sun Yue or Ebanks...

Lol I'm sold on this deal. And while Koufos is a very underrated player, Hibbert is still a premiere rim protector. People just don't understand how much of a game changer it is to stop the lay up drills the opposing teams established in staples center last year.

As much as the Pacers fans hate every other facet of his game and his attitude, they're going to regret this trade in the end. Especially since it means the difference between a first round exit and a team that can win a playoff series or two.

If D'angelo Russell can find ways to get easy buckets for the likes of Amir Williams and Trey MacDonald, I think Hibbert will be fine.

Yeh its not a lot at all. It's basically enough for a Josh smith who is also getting paid by Detorit or for a Lou Williams/Gerald Green type if their market is dry.

I mean they could go fully in and give Koufos all that is left since Roy has never played big minutes like Marc and Zach, and honestly there isn't anywhere left for him to go and be a starter anymore ... That pretty much seals Randle and Black at PF then. They need a fourth big, and I think they go after a guy even if Jordan Hill

Jason Smith? ....Big Baby?

I doubt Baby leaves the Clippers now that there are even more minutes open. Low key moves could be bring back Hill or Booz, paying Kufos to be backup C and still get over 20mpg, Josh Smith just because he has name value, and I wouldn't sleep on Javale McGee either if they wanted someone to backup Roy and be a contrast to him since McGee is an athlete.

The lakers have what ever cap space is left which is 5-6mil, and they also have the 3mil room exception.

Really depends on what we gave up to get him. If we have to give up a pick, then this is total garbage, better off getting Nene and a **** pick from Washington. If we get some other assets in return like a pick or a player, then it's worth it.

Why would Josh Smith sign here though?

Money? Lakers only have 5 Mill or so.
Winning? Funny.
Playing time? Okay, maybe, but that won't be enough.

He's found a home in Houston.

Money may actually be an issue since I've read all Houston is offering is their room exception under the premise well Detroit is paying you too on their forum. That 5 mil is at least double what he would get, and he may get to start here, as opposed to a time share since he went there with Monte/Jones both hurt and out the lineup. They've expressed interest before when he was a hawk but Atlanta always said Pau

Rush, Ebanks, Caracter, Morris, Cook, Vujacic, Farmar, Goudelock, Sacre, Kelly, Sun Yue, Crittenton

I mean if we are playing lists his bust list is longer as most guys he drafts can't stay in the league. His best pick may damn well by Luke Walton as it stands right now. Jim wanted Bynum, Phil wanted Granger, and Mitch wanted Sean May as it stands by account of Ronnie Lester and in Phil's eleven rings book. I mean unless if you're giving him credit for Marc his check list there ain't hot. He's a trade guy, not a free agent or draft guy

The Lakers bought the pick that got them Clarkson.

Yeah we actually didn't pick him, the wizards did. The thing about 2nd round picks is they're easy to acquire. And yeah we also drafted samb, elonu, yue, ebanks, douthit, wafer, crawford, caracter, and sacre. The draft is a gamble and getting a player of Clarkson's caliber is highly unlikely.

I can get on board with this. Maybe he can teach Black to be useful. One year rental, it just makes sense given the global economy and what with the job market out there.

Whaaa?

Absolutely none of this is true. Poor work ethic may be my favorite, you don't get to where he was as a freshman at Georgetown to NBA All Star with poor work ethic. This guy works his *** off at all times. David West even just stuck up for Hibbert against Larry Bird's comments on the way out the door. No idea where you got this stuff.

That said, for Lakers fans if Hibbert stops posting up and accepts a defensive only mindset, he could be pretty useful. Not a bad deal to get him for next to free, and try again in free agency next year.

We need a defender to compliment Randle. Randle can take care of the rebounding. hibbert just needs to protect the rim.

If his head was on straight, I'd pay odom to teach Randle how to perfect his handle and rebounding skills.
