They can keep their Chinese Porzingis, we have the original. They want to be bold and want Melo that bad, then send us Capela.

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking.
I posted this yesterday:
NY receives: Leonard (or Davis or Aminu), Harkless, Hartenstein (works without him if Houston wants to keep him), and one (two if no Hartenstein) of Houston's NGC's (Long, Taylor, etc)
Houston receives: Melo
Portland receives: Anderson + first round pick from Houston.
Something along those lines I can see happening.
They also have the rights to Xi and to Sergio Llull, who is 29.
You mean Qi? He signed a multi-year deal already. Llul was offered a 20+ million dollar deal (I think?). Llul could be a decent stop-gap PG until Frank can take over, but people will have their issues with him...trust me. As for Qi, he doesn't move the needle for me. His frame scares me. Maybe he'll turn out to be a good role player at best? I'm not sure about anything more than that, though.
I mean who would you rather have Knickstape? Qi with his frame or your boy "Sweet Stroke" Luke Kornet?

So does Giannis and Porzingis when they entered the League.

Heck, so did Yao.

I want the Dane tho.

That creates a young team with depth I can roll with.
Fits nicely too.
In year one:
Frank
THJr
Moe
KP
Willy
In year two:
Frank
Moe
Doncic/Porter (they'd defend the worst perimeter player between the 2-3 and Frank would defend the better of the two between the 1-2)
KP
Willy
Beautiful.

I'm really curious what the deal is.
It can't be Anderson to us because that's not considered daring or a monster deal. That's just them doing a no-brainer.
Maybe we actually got something.

Yao had a wider upper body and had tree trunk legs, KP's upper body frame was better, and Giannis' frame everywhere was better. Zhou's jealous of Isaac's frame and he's skinny as hell with a bad frame for a 4.

Qi looks like he has potential as a backup C. Can hit three's, has decent mobility for his size, shows flashes of rim protection ability. Just way too skinny and doesn't look like he can really put on that much mass.

Beautiful.
So, in effect, other than getting $ to match, the deal is Melo for Harkless, as Leonard isn't any good and his contract sucks, the other guys are non guaranteed and not good and we release them, and Houston isn't including Harkenstein.
Color me not impressed with this "Haul"
