They should get a really good young player, and they will. You have to give ass to get ass as the old saying goes.
Teams are motivated for the right price, which is totally subjective. The Butler, Cousins, and George trades (although different) will weigh heavy in discussions.
People would be wise never to bring up the PG trade with the Cavs F.O. seeing as how we had a much better return lined up with the Pacers & they reneged to send him out West. Phoenix offered Bledsoe & No. 4 for Kyrie before the draft. They're going to have a hard time walking back from that.
I would have traded Bledsoe and the number four for Irving no doubt, but once number four became an actually player and attachedment occurred that changes things, also I, as I believe the Suns FO wanted JJ for a long time and didn't think he would "fall" but thanks to the Celts, he did and I am sold, and from the sounds of things or FO is too. That doesn't mean Kyrie isn't worth it, it just means we have our preference, and as ridiculous or idiotic as some may believe we just don't want (I hope it's true) to give him up.
I completely understand the Suns refusing Jackson right now, they were pretty high on him, higher than other teams besides SAC.Waiting to see if the Cav's don't find better offers and come back to them saying yeah we will take Bledsoe and Chriss and a future instead of Jackson, but I don't believe the Cav's won't get slightly better offers than the latter, in fact I think they already have significant offers that would require the Suns to part with Jackson if they want Irving.
Either way there is a possibility the Cav's can get Bledsoe in a multi team deal and the Suns won't lose Jackson ,but they won't get Irving either.
