nah, its just him knowing he wants to be in LA for 4 years and wanting to give the Lakers f/o a year to build around him. He wasn't going to spend the last 5 years of his career hopping from city to city like some second rate ring chaser.

That's my take too. I also think doing the FA circus in LA every summer would be bad for Lebron's business outside of basketball, which is probably one of reasons he signed there.

Congrats. I will say though... you don't know what "been through so much" means as a Lakers fan lmao. For every 5 or 10 years you guys don't win titles, you start another dynasty afterwards. Try being a fan 20+ years and never even making a finals. In the time I've been a Clippers fan the Lakers have won 5 rings and probably 10 finals appearances.
