As crazy as it sounds, guys like Goran Dragic reach their prime in their mid 30s. He’s going to be playing at a high level for the next 3 years at least, IMO.
Yeah. Dragic and Jae have to be here. You cannot replace their production. There chemistry with the rest of the team is at its peak, which is a major reason they are performing so well.
Props to Butler for bringing the attitude we needed. Out with Dion and Hassan and their mental issues. Butler is worth every penny.
Here's the situation, ignore 2021 like I've said for over a year now because Riley knows how to make trades. You keep your core players and add 1 more quality player. Giannis isn't going to leave Milwaukee.
Miami resigns everyone you want because you're not going to have cap room for free agents if you're bringing Dragic, Crowder, DJJ back, if you're doing that you might as well bring Leonard back. Olynyk may/probably will opt in(12.1 - not sure where he'd get that type of money next year, maybe MLE from someone), Iggy is on the books for 15 and Nunn is 1.5, right there you have 3 players combining for nearly 28 million then possibly toss in a draft pick and you may be able to add another high-level player, say J.Holiday, K.Lowery, or D.Green... just think how much better this current team would be with any one of those players added to this current group minus Olynyk/Iggy/Nunn.
Next year you could see Herro(might be the leading scorer next year), Butler, Robinson, Crowder, and Bam starting with Dragic, DJJ, Leonard, and Silva on the bench, so your upgrades could be a defensive guard(J.Holiday, K.Lowery) or a defensive big(D.Green). We also should start seeing Bam starting to take(not make so much) 3s next year, the 2021-2022 season is when I think we'll start to see real work put in on Bam's 3s.
