Build a Franchise (Season 5) Bubble Tournament Edition

I'm all for good natured **** talking in BaF. I think those rivalries are good for the game. But once it gets personal, I lose interest in those arguments. I know 2010/melo have a thing where they can **** talk and it may not mean anything to them in the long run but now with the whole 2010/melo/smash drama, honestly I'm beginning to lose a bit of interest. It basically derails the thread for anyone who wishes to speak basketball or BaF. I really enjoyed the bubble tourney last year as it carried us through our extra long wait due to the longer than normal offseason due to the pandemic. But this years bubble tourney has just started and has brought about all sorts of stuff in this thread that I don't find especially good for the long term health of BaF. Even if its all in love between Cle/Tor/Por, there are probably more than a couple of other GM's who see what is happening in this thread and stay away because of it. And I definitely don't want hurt feelings between three long time respected GM's.

I know that a few years back we put an unwritten rule in place that no one can share PM's between rival GM's for just this reason. Reading these past couple of pages it seems that both smash and melo have done that. So for that reason, I will ask that you both step away from this thread for 24 hours. Other than melo posting the games tonight, please lets get this thread back to basketball and BaF and away from the personal attacks.

I feel no need to address propaganda so I won’t even respond to it with a quote. All I will say is you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes, and Melo’s ego just got him put in BaF jail for 24hrs. All for not being able to keep it hoops, and for being a snitch posting PMs in public.

Moving on now…

The area of my team I could be looking to upgrade is PF and/or C. So if anyone sees something that makes sense, that’s where I’m looking to upgrade. Willing to consolidate for an upgrade there since I have good depth, but it just has to make sense. If there’s nothing out there that is feasible, I am content to stand pat tho.

Looks like we won’t be getting our rubber match. So preseason will end with us 1-1 unless fate has us meet up in the bubble tourney.

So now is a good time for me to take this opportunity to say I’ma always embrace our BaF rivalry. But moving forward I’ma leave it at that…BaF competitiveness. No longer personal. Burying the hatchet.

But still gonna come wit supreme ass whoopin efforts each time we play.

Actually just last year. The two prior seasons Swiss lost to Brooklyn in the ECF. However, neither could retain depth under the cap and slid a bit last year. You and Richard both did great jobs to reverse that. The fact that you inherited a team already well over the cap but managed to retain Trez and add a McCollum is impressive as hell.
