Embiid was pretty gassed after the Pelicans game on Tuesday night. I am not surprised that he had an off night tonight (although he did a great job getting others good shots - 7 assists and a few more "hockey" assists out of the double-team). That has been the single most important evolution in his game this year - handling double-teams better. However, the best defensive teams, like the Raptors and Heat, still give him a lot of trouble with their doubles and zones. That will be the true test come playoff time.

Might makes sense to give him a night off on Saturday against the Kings

The Heat scored on him easy enough, but they have to do something different on defense. Hopefully Bam will help, because Miami was no better then anyone else in dealing with him.

with any luck we get this tired version of him, because the rested version looks unstoppable.

In the last few minutes, Steph threw:
a deflection that they got back on side out,
a deflection that he recovered and hit a bail out 3,
a deflection that ended up being chased down to be a Wolves fast break dunk, and
a missed lob.
