All the videos ask how are we going to guard Giannis and Embiid. When is someone going to ask, how are Giannis and Embiid going to defend us?

They both will be out of the paint, opening up EVERYONE ELSE! Everybody who starts has shot around 37% from 3 before (jays been slipping)!! Sure put Embiid on Porzi or Al lmao!!!! Put Giannis on them!! Highway to heaven in be middle!! If one of them had to guard Tatum if we don’t do double bigs?? Haha oohh weee!!!

Smart shot better than Jrue in the playoffs, we get it, but who is intentionally leaving Jrue open like they did Smart? Is that ever going to be the strategy? Cheat off White?? Off of Brown or Tatum??? We already played Lopez off the floor before the two additions! Haha!!

HOW ARE THEY GOING TO DEFEND US?

i could go in so many directions for our offense, what are teams going to do with that versatility except hope for injuries and Joe to fumble the bag?

How are they going to defend Us!!!!

Yeah agreed. Their best defender on either Jay is gimpy Middleton and/or fat Crowder. Giannis is a former DPOY but he never guards star players straight up and can't defend JT in space at all. And they don't have Jrue anymore or even Grayson Allen.

I also don't really see Brook Lopez guarding Porzingis on the perimeter or Dame staying in front of Jrue.

It's preseason game 1 against the Pistons, but Suns just scored 46 points in the 1Q on 247% FG%.

Or JB to turn the ball over 7+ times in crucial games. Or JT to inexplicably have 5-18 type shooting nights multiple times in a Playoff series. Or for us to crumble down the stretch of games. The same **** that has led to our demise over the past handful of years. Talent has never been the issue

Offensive talent has been an issue. Tatum's ankle sprain made JB have to try to do more on offense, now you can move Porzingas and Jrue up a rung if Tatum isn't himself, brown doesn't have to try to step up at all (joe has to stop him). It doesn't have to be Tatum or bust (making JB think he's the only one left). Added two more offenders capable of getting their own, even if you account for Jrue's playoff drop, he still won't be #2 unless MULTIPLE people go down.

Edit: Remember the GSW loss, it was partially because Al, White, and Smart kicked but then disappeared shooting after GSW essentially laughed at their hot shooting. We had nothing else outside of the Jays. Bench was nowhere to be seen.

Every game we lose, we trade one of Tatum’s friends.

So, JB is safe with or without the contract. 8-)

I have been thinking about this too. On the Bucks i respect how dangerous they will be and Dame/GA pnr will be dangerous but i think we have the best Dame defender and best Giannis defender. I understand we lost some of our defefensive support but the way people talk they dont realize Big Al was the primary defender. So as long as we have Al i think we can rebuild any help he needs.

Im interested in seeing what Adrian Griffin implements on defense but historically we've had sucess vs their drop coverage. The Bucks need to look at adding to their wing depth like we need a 3rd big but historically our wings have definitely given them problems. I like that we can play 5 out wheher we are big or small so it will be interesting to see the chess game playout

Al, White, and Smart all shot above 40% from three on the series (Al shot a ridiculous 61%). You take that from your role players any day of the week. We lost that series because JT and JB underperformed. Blew Game 4 down the stretch and the series was over (which I called in real time, and got major pushback on). This team has beaten themselves multiple times in the Playoffs in recent years.

Idk if this is a hot take but I don't think the Bucks are that good. I don't think Dame is that good. I don't think think their depth is that good. I don't think their defense is ANY good.

They just don't do anything for me.

I'll take your word for it but I distinctly remember them shooting great g1 (white first 2-3 games I think), then they were mediocre after that. Yes, the Jays were bad, with who to help?
If you don't think our offense (on paper) isn't a major step up then that's fine, the league is about to find out too. Similar defense but a better offense as far as options other than praying for 3s to fall.

Smart: 15/5/5 on 41% from three
Al: 13/8/3 on 78% TS
White: 10/2/2 on 40% from three
Rob: 8/8 with 3 blocks a game

If your stars play to their averages (or even slightly below), that would have been enough to win the title that year.

Why are we playing everyone when every other team doesn't care? they have had many changes too (sixers not so much ok).

I mean this without sarcasm, cause I'm a fan of watching preseason like it's any other game, THANKS JOE!!

I knew they were bad, but how bad? Were they good in the wins and bad in the losses? Because bad by their standards doesn't mean much considering it was the best D in the league on the other side. This sounds like arguing but I really want to know.

I stick by, our offense will be more dynamic on a sustained playoff level from the two offensive upgrades (hopefully with PP and Hauser added too). Should be better in the moments you mentioned (end of game 4).

I forgot Allen was a Suns, I'm glad we wont see him 4 times in the regular season and I won't have to watch him because I like Giannis (Dame). Universe may have turned it's energy off of hating me.
