Green looks so much better as a cog in a competent machine, that's his niche. He's a role player through and through so last year's environment was impossible for him to overcome.

He's been so good that I trust him more than anyone off the bench in the playoffs if we get there. Maybe's he's just a player that plays better/is more focused on a team trying to win. I know he was struggling in the playoffs for the Mavs a few seasons ago but he was only 23, he seems to have calmed down a bit. Could be our Josh Hart/George Hill type

Love Kon’s take and sharing the J-Jizzle nickname :D . Green has looked downright good during this rise. He’s quick, physical, confident, his shooting is solid, plays better defense than when he first came here. Good role player, and important when they tighten up the rotations going into key games/playoffs.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

If we do end up making some noise this postseason it'll be because of guys like Green and Williams stepping up when needed.

Yeah sounds like a name you'd give to a chick named Jenna of ill repute if you know what I mean.

I'm glad Grant hasn't been terrible since his return. That knee injury was gruesome and its pretty typical for guys to kind of suck at first when they return from something like that. Grant hasn't necessarily been good so far, but hes been solid, which is a good sign for his future.

He looked pretty shaky those first few games. But seems like hes been knocking off the rust and has become a pretty steady contributor the last few weeks. Hopefully theres still room for him to continue improving.

You'll be happy to know I misheard:
https://www.si.com/nba/hornets/onsi/news/josh-green-is-thriving-in-his-role-off-the-charlotte-hornets-bench

Charlotte has won his 578 minutes this season by 11 points per 100 possessions, the fourth best number on the roster (behind LaMelo Ball, Grant Williams, and Moussa Diabate). Green's return from injury has supercharged the Hornets' bench units, and although he will always be known for his defense and hustle, some growth in Green's offensive game has been a major reason why.

According to NBA.com, a stunning 50.8% of Josh Green's shots have been considered wide open (closest defender 6+ feet away) three-pointers, and he's converting on a blistering 46.2% of those. As long as 'J Gizzle,' a nickname revealed to the world by Kon Knueppel in a recent post-game interview, knocks down the looks created for him, he'll sharpie his name into Charles Lee's playoff rotation.

I formally petition for his 3pt celebration to be The Gizzle. He does the spiderman web shooter thing yelling out Jizz! Jizz!

Suddenly a second unit of Cody, Sion, Gizzle, Grant and Kalk doesnt sound so bad, not that those guys ever really play as a unit.

You could argue the season really turned around with the return of Josh Green and Grant Williams.

Green rocking a career high 43% from deep, 88% from ft, 66% true shooting in addition to the pesky defense and high motor

They've both been playing well lately. Odds are, however, neither will be here beyond next season so we need to keep working on developing the younger guys to step into their roles. I know everyone's focused on bigs and PGs in this draft but I could see us drafting another sharpshooting wing as well to step in when they leave. McNeeley, Tiddy and Sion will all have the opportunity of course, but I dont think we should look at any of them as the definite answer for the future. At least not yet.
