Need some size at big forward. I like Mann, but too undersized as a SF/PF most nights, and doesn't shoot enough (not a medicore shooter even -- add: meaning better than a medicore shooter from game to game).

Jalen Smith would be nearly perfect for this team. Would have starting PF job by end of season into the playoffs.

Harden
Powell
Kawhi
Smith
Zubac

Holding onto that till the deadline is over. : )

Also would settle for Chris Boucher.

Clippers now have three SG/SF/very small PF guys in that 12-15 pts/36 range who hit three's at 36%+ and defend. Then they have Dunn who is a PG/SG/small SF who gives 10 pts/36 and doesn't shoot as well but is a better ball handler and initiator than the others and nice on smaller guards.

When you become just one of many, you can become dispensable.

Of course teams checking in is a bit different from Clippers being interested, soo...

Mann could help any teams with depth problems as a $15M Swiss Army knife but he's not worth it to the Clippers anymore at that price. Coffey does pretty much the same things at 6'7" and for $13M/yr less. Dunn is signed for 3 years @ $5M and the 3rd year is a TEAM option, and he has already passed Mann in the rotation. KPJ is playing for the minimum and is outproducing Mann in points, rebs, assists and steals...as well as plus/minus, which is THE bread and butter for a "glue guy" like Mann.

Of course, part of the trade price could or should be taking PJ Tucker off our hands so we can get some help where we really need it--a 5, a 4, or better yet a stretch 4/5, which don't come cheap.

MLK Day, watching the Mavs vs Hornets on NBA TV. Moussa blows our back up bigs out of the water. And they were confident in him so much that they traded one of their main bigs, Richards, to the Suns.

Also, don't get mad at me, I did say Tosan Evbuomwan was better than Kobe Brown. He got poached from our G League team and got signed to a two-way deal with the Nets. He's good. But we sign who we sign and have to roll with whatever they can give us on the floor.

Whenever PG starts talking crazy like this, his shooting percentages start looking like tour dates for the next month. Good luck with that, Philly!

Put up the quietest 30 I ever saw tonight. Once again Maxey was the whole show. I forgot PG was even out there. He loves being the star of his own blabfest, but on the court he just wants to hide, put up his numbers, collect a check and go home.

Pretty much, Philly is ignoring the Sixers. First of all the Eagles are 24/7 anyway, plus Embiid is out indefinitely. Probably just the way PG likes it--no spotlight, no accountability. He can score 10 or he can score 30 and it's all the same.

The Eagles in the Super Bowl is the perfect cover for the Sixers. This scenario has this winning even when they're losing.

The West is changing with this Luka/AD deal. Wild sh*t!! It doesn't add up though. How come the Mavs didn't go to OKC and ask for Chet or JDubb and 7 first round picks?

The one silver lining here is that OKC better win this year or it's probably not happening. It doesn't matter who they get with all our picks, it won't be enough to overcome the refs in any playoff series against the Luka Lakers, just like it wasn't enough for the stacked Blazers and Kings in the early 2000s.

Maybe they should trade us all our picks back for Kawhi and Harden and just go all-in for this year.

OKC does not want to see the Lakers in a series, for sure. Also Phoenix, Memphis, and Houston.

But, overall.. I don't buy OKC as pure contenders, unlike most others. I think they can get to the WCF, but won't win the title, probably won't get to the Finals, and that's their ceiling right now to me.

I think they're flawed offensively and too undersized overall with a talent drop off, offensively. Without Chet, they have defensive size issues at PF/C, as well.

Chet is probably not going to be a consistent all-star level factor yet in playoffs; 1 good year away for sure.

Yeah getting Caruso and I-Hart' is good and helps the defense, depth, but they won't help out too well when defenses zone in on Shai and Jalen Williams. When the three gets limited, and the paint gets tougher to score in.. I think they'll have issues as a team.

There's a big drop off from Shai on OKC offensively. Jalen Williams is really good, but needs to have a 2005/2007 Ginobili kind of playoff run for them right now, and Chet (when returns) needs to return to the form he had in the beginning of the year in the playoffs over a series. Up in the air.

I think they aren't ready yet to go all the way in the playoffs, but are a capable, deep, skilled, athletic team.

Not sold on OKC either. I take it the Mavs wanted AD and AD only. That's why they went straight to the Lakers for a deal. This also tells us that Mark Cuban has no say so at all anymore cause there's no way he does a deal to help the Lakers. This Mavs new ownership evidently didn't like his conditioning and overall health which means now way they wanted to give him the supermax at 5 years $340 million. Plus dealing with OKC means their GM Presti will haggled to death over a 2nd round pick in 2035 so there's that. Lakers gotta hope Luka is pissed, motivated, and wants to shed 50 pounds but I can't see him and Bron, two extremely ball dominate players, working out on the court.

I always wanted Ingram. Cap and second apron wise it probably would never work but he's a really good player, and the package that was sent was not too crazy. I think they are going to stand pat and may miss the playoffs because of it.

I don't think Ingram is anything special myself, but he's also injured right now and wouldn't have done anything to meaningfully improve our chances this year, assuming he even would have been able to play at some point. Toronto will probably sit him out for the rest of the season.

Wow, all of a sudden PJ Ticker is worth Davion Mitchell.

The Hornets traded Mark Williams to the Lakers because the Hornets are that high on Moussa's potential. A player the Clippers already had on their roster.

The Clippers need to trade Mann. Lue taking turns benching guys is going to kill any chemistry this Clippers team has left.
