MWP made a reference to our PG rotation of Davion and Dru, calling them Saint Quentin.

Was looking at Traore some more and look who he plays for, San Quentin. Lol.

Meant to be?

Could be a shot at special if Fears is still growing and he can develop that 3 ball. I do worry he's smaller than his listed size, but his age and baby face makes me wonder

Any dude who can stay on the floor for his offense ...and make an impact on defense would be great

Do you follow Auburn basketball closely? Obviously Broome is the engine for that squad, but I'm intrigued by Tahaad Pettiford as a NBA PG prospect. Seems to be a real deal sniper that can score and run an offense.

Not sure if he warrants lotto consideration due to his size/finishing, but he looks like a future NBA player to me.

Unfortunately no...ask me about the football program..sure ..

I do not watch a ton of college basketball ..normally I wait until Dom post guys to look out for and latch onto one or two of them and catch a few games

5 teams (Utah, OKC, Was, Cha, BKN) possess 22 of the 58 picks in this draft.

If other teams like a player, the above teams should be open for business.

He's a senior and an older prospect at 23 but also more ready to step in and contribute. Early look is he has a nasty lefty shot and kinda moves around like Harden.

Called Kam about a month ago. Will be following closely during the tourney

Some interesting (and important) numbers to digest with projecting this draft's slate of guard prospects. Getting into the paint is a crucial form of advantage creation for any player that we want to project as a lead guard. It's usually one of the most important facets for my assessment, and when it's lacking it needs to be made up for with another elite form of advantage creation (such as pull up shooting).

100%

Guards have to pressure the rim. Its a prereq.

If you're a guard and you don't pressure the rim you better be the best shooter in the draft.

My boy Sergio de Larrea stands out to me among this group. Very healthy rim pressure numbers while playing in arguably the most competitive league of anyone on the list. Will be 19 on draft night. Is shooting 45% from 3 on the season (best of the referenced group) and has an assist percentage on the season of 31.6% (2nd highest among the group behind only Bennett Stirtz--another sleeper I like a lot). Aside from the general mystery of international prospects, the big question mark is sample size as he's playing 12 mpg for a stacked Valencia squad.

Leaning now towards elite scoring PF to put with along side Bam. Have Ware and Jovic anchor the bench rotation and make that group elite.

If we can stink bad enuff to get to the 7th slot, wed have a 35% chance at a top 4 pick.

Should we go for the best available player or are we looking at drafting a guard or forward?

Best player no question. Heat should be either trying to hit on this pick and get an all nba guy or get high ceiling prospect as an asset in case somebody like Ant asks out

Almost always best practice to go BPA. Draft is a crapshoot and the reality is that less than like 1/3 f first round picks even become starting caliber players. Gotta get those. No benefit to ending up with Shabazz Napier.
