Guerin to the Pens, does Pitt honestly think that he's Crosby's winger? lol

He's better than any other wingers Skidny's had.

Maybe Guerin of 2 years ago but not this year's Guerin. He should be a depth forward just like Recchi and nothing more. Kunitz is a better winger for Crosby.

Kunitz should not be Crosby's winger after seeing him, Staal and Kennedy play. That is a very good line and they all have great chemistry together.

Obviously Hossa was better, but how many games did he play with Sidney, exactly? Everyone knew he was leaving for the cash after the season was over. Pens can at least keep Guerin after this season at a reasonable price.

Everyone said the same with Schneider when the Habs got him, look how that turned out.

But the difference is, Guerin has lost a step and is expected to play with Crosby. Guerin is about as fast as Recchi and Crosby couldn't play with Recchi because he was too slow. The same thing will happen with Guerin. Too slow.

WOO. According to a few sites, the Habs have a blockbuster lined up. No details yet, but it hasn't been as quiet as everyone's been saying, after all!

COME ON BOBBY.

I was only kidding, but anyway, I just don't see Guerin keeping up with Sid.

Conditional pick. 5th rder but if Pitt makes the playoffs its a 4th and if they win a rd it becomes a 3rd. Can't be any better than a 3rd though.

I like the move a little better now.

5th round pick that can turn into a 3rd depending how they do in the playoffs.

Well, what do you know. Ecklund saying he won't waive his NTC to come to Pittsburgh was a true rumor.

Ok, so it is not a bad deal at all.

If you're complaining about giving a 3rd rounder for Bill Guerin, you are one pessimistic hockey fan. ;)

Lol. I enjoy the trade a little more now. Didn't give up much to get him.

That's weird. Boston gave up a lot to get Recchi and Pittsburgh gave up nothing to get Guerin.

It's not a bad deal value wise but is it enough to get Pitt going...no. Pitt will be bounced in the first round by one of the top 4 teams (Boston, Washington, NJ, Philly).

By the way, Keith Jones, the biggest anti-Penguin broadcaster called them the team to watch out for in the East now. WOW!

Pitts would knock off Philly.

Philly? Pens own the Flyers. The Flyers don't have what it takes to win a playoff series against the Pens and that is goaltending and defense.

EDIT - I'd even take the Pens over Washington with the additions now.

I don't think so, Philly has some good defensive forwards that could neutralize Crosby and Malkin.
