They would have been bought out immediately but man that a lot of dead money to take on for a couple probably not lotto picks. Probably a sign bledsoes value really isn't very high right now.

In the video located at the link, i liked 1 of the traded that they came up with. Bledsoe to the Hornets for Monk/MKG. Bledsoe would play off the ball at SG next to Kemba, but who cares about them, Monk is probably the player with the most potential that we could get. 11th pick in the last draft, i know some here were very high on him. He's a great shooter/scorer. Run Booker at PG and Monk at SG?

**** if that deal was really available I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Why the hell would they want Jackson? I mean is Holiday and Rondo not enough to handle their PG needs?

Wait...what???? So many questions!

1. Why would NOP want Jackson over Bledsoe? Bledsoe is the better player and friends with Boogie.
2. Why would NOP want another PG?
3. Would there be any protection on those picks?
4. If not, that would be a potential HAUL! NOP could still self destruct and same for Detroit!!!
5. If we are willing to take on ASIK and his garbage contract for two 1sts, we better be willing to take on some Miluwakee garbage for Brogdon!

Curious to know if it is now "dead" because there is a better offer on the table now. This would have been a steal. Mcd is gonna pull off a great trade I believe.

This is similar to what I mentioned but regarding opening up a spot for Mike James. Moving Bledsoe for players we're going to buy out is incredibly expensive way to open a roster spot for James and equally expensive way to obtain a likely non-lotto pick. I'm totally against that. I know we have roster spot issues but I'd rather bring back a young, unproven player over players we're just going to simply buy out.

Yeah, that would be A LOT of cash to spend to buy them out. Asik is owed about $32M over the next 3 years, and Ajinca about $10M in the next 2.

I dont see sarver giving the OK to pay these guys $42M to go play elsewhere. Thats crazy.

Or you could look at that as paying $42m *and* giving up Bledsoe for a couple of non-lotto picks

5 Firsts in the next 18 months would have made things interesting.

I remember Ainge offered Charlotte 4 Firsts for pick 9 though and it got rejected.

I've thought CHA is a good partner. I like MKG - maybe in the minority - and a future unprotected first. Doubt they part with Monk.

Don't think MKG has a position here with our 4 Forwards.

I also liked him as a value role player before we got Jackson.

MKG only makes sense if Booker becomes PG..

A MEDIUM ball death line up of

G: Booker
G: Jackson
F: Warren
F: MKG
C: Bender

That would be so versatile defensively... anyone can switch to who and cover space very quickly.

Omg. Most brutal outside shooting team in history though.

Booker can hit 3s... Bender can hit 3s.... Jackson has shown he can hit 3s.... Warren is same as Jackson.... MKG goes for the rebounds and focuses on defense... anti-cherry picker.

That's what I was thinking upz. But Jackson would have to improve the shot to make MKG viable long term cuz MKGs shot is brutal

JJ's shot isn't equally brutal as MKG but it's pretty bad. I've been trying not to say anything about it.

Yeah. MKG doesn't really fit unfortunately but I like the idea of a defensive specialist.

Thats why you find a 3rd team to take MKG. There are a few play-off bound teams that could use him as an upgrade at SF.

Miami/Indiana/Utah are just a few off the top of my head.

The 3 way seemed a good deal for NO and Detroit.

I wonder if we had hang ups about protection on the picks or the salary dumps.

Gambo's latest tweet is insinuating we have other good offers to overlook this one.

Return to Phoenix Suns
