Well, Jo took one corner 3 tonight like I called for. Progress!

Misses 9 games and returns to score 24 points in 26 minutes. What a phenom.

Good game for Embiid to ease back in. Gsw is like playing the nets. No big man to defend him or challenge them.

He is willing to space the floor for Ben. I just dont think he is going to stand beyond the 3pt line every possession and who can blame him.

I hate to gripe because he played well but to me he still hold the ball a tad bit too long. I dont know if hes surveying the floor or just not trying not to rush but when he starts getting crowded he should immediately give the ball up and repost.

Whats interesting is when Brett feel like the ball is stuck , you can immediately hear him shouting "Move it!" "Move it!" (Move the ball). Even with Tobias. I never hear that when Embiid holds it though.

Because defense will anticipate a pass and he’s gonna get a TO.

The moment Brett realized Embiid was a star, he probably told him to never move the ball unless he felt a helpside defender coming over.

Maybe , I was wondering that as well.

But he has to do a better job of knowing when to pass, when not to pass, when the defense is going to converge and also where his teammates are going to be.

Its part of his growth to being a better playmaker from the post.

Not that easy when your back is at the basket and you have four arms blocking your vision, then you have a shaky ball handling and passing ability.

This is why we lose against the Celts and the Raps in the playoffs. Guys like Tatum, Rozier and Green were flying over him. The memories are still vivid in my head

A lot of those judgement lapses are due to lack of seasoning. As he becomes a playoff veteran, he'll make better decisions.

There is no reason for him to put the ball on the floor when hes being crowded , thats a turnover.
If he has his back towards the basket then he has the view to look and see if players are starting to crowd him. Also hes usually the tallest guy on the floor why is he not holding the ball high? Away from guards trying to pick at it.

For ex. During the lakers game , he was in the post with furkan up top, furkan passed him the ball and immediately furkan 's man started to crowd him. Furkan's man left him long enough where embiid could of threw the ball out for the three. Instead he kept it and scored or got fouled. Ofcourse no one on the warriors can do anything with him dbld or not but in the playoffs thats not gonna work against better teams, defense and coaches.

I know its also not all the way his fault. Hes been done a disservice with management not getting him a sniper or two while surrounding him with other bigs and killing the spacing.

Now that Furk has proven he can hit the 3 consistently, crossing my fingers for Shake to come along. Then they have to go out and get another shooter/scorer before the deadline.

Regardless hes going to have to make marginal improvements to that aspect to his game before the playoffs.

Does this guy want out? He has been bullbleep the last two games. Tired of him always being out of shape.

I try not to speculate, but it’s hard to ignore his body language this season. He has been less vocal about his love for the team and Philly. For someone who wears his heart on his sleeve, it’s not the best sign.

It goes both ways though, the team has to treat him like their star and build a sensible roster around him. I think he probably feels disrespected at the moment although part of the problem might be physical.

Pay attention and see the energy Embiid plays with in the all-star game.

If you're not highly concerned about what Embiid is becoming then something's wrong.

This organization did him wrong with roster construction, I've been preaching it since summer. But it's time for me and Embiid to get over it and buy back in. Ben Simmons beginning his ascend to stardom is a game-changer. The big guy has to give him and the organization another chance.

Has he earned the right to demand respect?

If he played regularly, and to his potential, the team wouldn't be languishing in 6th seed and looking like a train wreck.

If he's so great then he should have the ability to adjust, or influence his team and coach to accommodate what he needs to get it done.

Enough making excuses for these over paid kids. Too much guaranteed money. No incentive to work.

From a real life perspective he is just a 25 year old guy that he is good at playing a game. Within the Nba though he is a three time all star and the best player on the team.

In any case the issue i think is that if Brand was trying to force him out he wouldnt have done things much more differently. He pays almost 30 mil for a guy that plays the same position, they force him to play out of position due to the ill- fitting roster and they traded away everyone that was close with Embiid. Unless you are grossly incompetent you dont these things to a guy that is expected to be your leader.

Having said that i think the issue with Embiid is also physical and the combination of these things has resulted to what you are seeing on the court.

I'm interested in seeing what players (other than Lowry) Embiid is close to on allstar weekend.
