the verbiage is a release means he is will counts $13 vs your cap this year and next year he is still on your cap for $13
A buyout would mean you would take $13 hit this year and the $13 next year all this year so a 1 year $26 hit this year and he's completly off your cap next year. You would need to have the extra money this year to do it but it looks like you did.

I think your squad is interesting a fun. Your bench is pretty good and will give teams fits. I might even throw in Gordon into the starting lineup for a bit more offense then Porter. You might piss some teams off by winning some games that aren't expected. Your bigs can shoot too which could frustrate teams and I like the ability to potentially use that swap with ORL as well.
