really weird pick to take a PG in the top 10 when your franchise player who is still very young is a PG..

Even if they believed he was the best player available, they have to make a trade. Too many ball needy players..

one of the few picks I really liked tbh. They badly need shooting and defense and he brings both. He can play off ball (unlike Fox) and between the two of them, they'll have the best defensive backcourt in the game. Haliburton has Jaylen Brown size and can easily slide over, provide playmaking, defend and shooting. Really good pick imho

Phoenix win 48 games with a three guard lineup a few years back, so it’s not necessarily a problem. My main concern for the Kings is if they can develop those guys.

oh boy. with the thunder taking Mann and Giddey, this will fuel more gilgeous-alexander trade rumors..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

makes sense. knicks had 4 total draft picks, 3 in the 1st round. it would have been a shocker if they used all of those picks..

Spike Lee waited all that time for them to trade the pick. Lol it’s like me with the Patriots drafts.

Edit:

Oh they have more :-?

yup. i didn't realize he had a baby girl when he was 16 or 17 yrs old. that's crazy to be going to school, work on your game enough to become the no. 1 pick...all while raising a baby girl, crazy.

You have to root for the guy. seems pretty humble too

yeah SGA could play some 3. and Giddey is a huge PG at 6'9"...so i suppose they could play all 3 of them together. 3 very talented players, no doubt.

Lamelo/Bouknight/Kai Jones, that could be a fun trio...i probably would have gone Jalen johnson over kai tho...but i think hornets just really want a big man..

And there it is….if you want a pick, you can get one every year….too bad we’re saving our nickles to pay AL and Fournier.

Great pick by the Hawks with Jalen Johnson. This kid could be a bust or a star. Nice swing for the fence at 20

Great fit for them, and the culture there seems like a good destination for Johnson. Hawks really doing things right these past few years.

fair points..i would have probably gone Butler then. just as good shooting and defense, 2 inches taller and overall a slightly better player IMO
