Bennett has a good chance of ALWAYS being the answer.

So long as the question is: Who is the worst first overall pick in NBA history?

Bennett's much worse. At least Kwame turned into a solid rebounder.

Another guy I liked earlier in the season was Donald Sloan. He's an expiring as well, seemed like a solid PG. With Hill/Stuckey/Watson he hasn't had many minutes since everyone returned from injury.

Maybe throw out Sloan for Gooden, fills a need for both teams. Not a sexy trade, but functional.

Doubt that happens, isnt Watson an expiring as well? I would think Sloan gets big mins next season if hes brought back. He was tearing it up the beginning of the year.

Sounds like the Wizards are being linked to every sorry, unwanted point guard available. Sessions, Cole, Nelson, and that guy who used to play for Detroit.

Nobody woos terrible 3rd string point guards better than Ernest Grunfeld.

In fairness, a backup PG is in fact just that.....a backup PG. Especially with Wall. The best thing I can find, which is *possibly* attainable would be Sloan from Indiana. He is getting zero burn after kicking ass earlier this year.

Norris Cole?? Ok, hes faster and quicker than Miller, but that doesnt make him a better PG. He doesnt shoot very well, een his FT's are not that good. I've seen him dish the ball well at times, but mostly he doesnt. I dont get it.

Bobby Brown: A 6-2 guard who has bounced around the NBA since 2008 -- Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans and L.A. Clippers -- he's playing in China for the Dongguan Leopards and doing well. He's active, can score and has vast experience overseas, including in Europe. Plus Brown is 30, the type of experienced pro coach Randy Wittman really likes and respects.

Dominique Jones: A 6-4 guard who was a first-round pick in 2010, he was part of the Dallas Mavericks' 2011 championship team but stayed on the bench. Jones has never shot above 40% in a season and the time just hasn't been there for him to develop as he hasn't appeared in more than 33 games in a season. If he hung around Rick Carlisle's team for that long, there had to be some promise but he never made it past his rookie deal. He can score and uses his brute strength to get to the basket but hasn't proven to be a reliable shooter. He's playing in China for the Jilin Northeast Tigers.

Toure' Murry: A 6-5 guard, he played in 51 games with the New York Knicks in 2013-14. He was on the Utah Jazz's roster this season but only appeared in one game after being assigned to the D-League. Murry plays for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the D-League, but he resembles Temple in his skill set so the Wizards have cooled on him. They already pay Temple more money to do a similar job. Because Murry did play in the NBA this season, the March 1 deadline would apply to him if they were to reverse course.

Ahh.. Thats just the front office getting their name out there and letting everyone now that are looking under every rock.

They offered up their first.. for the right deal.
They have their names in the hat, and that all free press. Good marketing move. Get the talking heads talking about your team.

Its all good stuff. No move is better then a bad move. Maynor proved that. Should have just let Temple play PG.

But every move that was brought up here, you said stunk so why make a move just to make a move?

Personally, I'd like Brown or Bynum. We desperately need a playmaker at the 1 and would like another three-point shooter. We're not giving up the farm for them but there's no rush to make a move until right before the deadline. Don't give up a future first for a rental unless they can help you this year and beyond.

Honestly the thought of Ernie drafting late against scares the hell out of me.

He simply CANNOT draft. It's basically a fact at this point.
