Tucker putting up arguably his best stats of his career is mildly infuriating

He eventually got it together, it was a rough start though.

I was mostly irked because I had him like 95% rostered in all of my DFS lineups. I needed to talk **** on a message board to motivate him, and it worked!

Go Warriors
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Kuminga plays way bigger than his listed 6'7.

Every time I see Bjelica out there for the Warriors I think it's David Lee

Wiggins has turned into a nice player. He's still overpaid for what he brings but he's at least become a solid contributor to winning basketball now. I'm not expecting much from Klay when he's back, but if he rounds into shape by Playoffs time, the Warriors will be hard to beat.

Can't believe we didn't make a run at Otto Porter. He would've been great here and was available for nothing.

I did not expect the Warriors to be anything close to this.

The obvious counter argument to this is he simply chose to sign in GS for a year to rehab his value. I assume every team went at him for the minimum.

Wow.

Staples center is so iconic, weird to see it go right in the middle of a season.

Not to defend the billionaires because at the end of the day **** them and their money, but stuff like this is why the warriors, lakers, nets etc… can have tax bills 2-4 times higher than ours and still look to add talent while competing for rings because they make so much extra money from just being in a big city or for being an iconic franchise.

I personally think the amount of parity already achieved by the NBA, although far from perfect, is absolutely phenomenal. Because it has to fight those things you mentioned. Parity is unnatural in a way.

I will however tell you this: In Europe the situation is obviously opposite, big cities have big teams and big teams win everything, simple as that. No one even knows what parity is, let alone demand it. There was however a small town with a population of less than 200,000 in Croatia. And because they really loved and nurtured basketball for decades, eventually they got to have a team that included Toni Kukoc, Dino Radja and a bunch of other local underpaid guys you wouldn't know. And that team beat every big team in Europe and won absolutely everything for 3 years straight. Now that is something that if you are very lucky it happens once in a lifetime, but when it happens, and if you are a fan of THAT team, that feeling is something that **** allover any NBA title you can ever imagine.

Too much parity kind of ruins the best Cinderella stories for me a little bit. To slay giants you need to have some giants, you know what I mean?

Yeah, I think the big vs small market in the NBA has become less of a thing over the years. The owners are all outrageously rich. It just comes down to their will to spend more than anything else. Gilbert spent big when he had Lebron on the roster, as have the Bucks to build a title winner.

The big markets will always have advantages over the smaller ones but it's less of an issue than it was 10-20 years ago.

Told you I really like the Bulls in summer.
Alot here underestimated them.
You need to respect DeRozan's game eventually. His a high character guy in terms of working hard and trying to improve every year.
Only Vucevic is out of sync for the time being.
If Vuc syncs in, I don't want to face them at the playoffs till East Finals. They have alot of firepower and Lonzo+Caruso are glue tall guys that can guard Jrue. Jrue will have a hard time against em. We have advantage with our tall backcourt except few teams, one of them is the Bulls.

Despite all the offseason hand-wringing over how they were snatching up every veteran free agent, the Nets bench has been low-key awful. Patty and Aldridge have been their only consistent rotation guys. Blake can't shoot now and Bruce Brown is a PJ Tucker level offensive threat. Carter and Bembry are barely above G-league level dudes, Millsap and Johnson are washed, and if their young 20-21 year old guys (Claxton, Cam Thomas, Sharpe, Edwards) are ever forced to play real minutes, then they're gonna be in trouble. Kerr has managed to piece together a pretty respectable defense, but Durant is carrying them right now, and you know that he's gonna need rest/load management at some point.

I find the told you so posts tiresome, but this is one of the exceptions in which it was well-deserved. Take your flowers, Fotis.

Not all white former guard coaches are the same...

Wistful memories of when the local sportsplex carried the banner of an office supplies retailer, although I do lament the long-ago era when Adam and Eve was the prime underwriter for WTF.

yeah I don't really get the outrage I'm seeing on the web. It is an unobtrusive way for companies to make money. It doesn't affect the game or broadcast in any way. It's not like its a name that has been around 100 years or a named after an individual (Lambeau) or group (Soldier Field). It's not even a Miller Park culture thing.....It was named after a giant company headquartered and founded in MA.

When "For the culture" refers to a multinational corp headquartered on the opposite coast. Plz Lebaron, write a sepia-toned piece for The Players Tribune about the Stapler and when Sedale Threatt was the toast of Orange County.

We here at Chonestown HQ stan for the KFC YUM! Center and for the KFC YUM! Center only.
