Re: Bucks Offseason Thread - Trade, news - Beal to talk w/Milwaukee and Miami
Honestly, even picking up CP3 on a vet-min "win now" type deal would be exciting. He's ideal to play 25-30 minutes, help run the bench and play cruch-time with the starters to get into smoother halfcourt offense.
And if Denver can play good enough defense with Jokic/Porter/Murray in the starting and closing lineups throughout a playoff run, then substituting Jrue for an All-Star guard with great offensive talent shouldn't necessarily crater the defense. Of course, it helped that Miami was an offensively (relatively) limited team, except in 4th quarters against Milwaukee (sigh).

"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

Quickley in Athens definitely smells like something’s up.
If Jrue is available he seems like a guy Thibs would burn villages down to acquire.

Hence we should hope that he stays with us.
Then if we want another star like Beal or Dame, we would have to trade Jrue.
Seems to me that trading Khris is almost out of the equation. Improbable surely if not impossible.
Only option would be to put bobby at SF yes not the best option but might be only option

Firmly on team trade them both, but my feet are on the ground with trade suggestions. Washington would be incredibly stupid if they did trade Beal to Milwaukee for the crap the Bucks have to offer. Other markets can easily beat it. His no trade clause be damned, Miami is infinitely more appealing asset wise.
Jrue is a weird case, but I think he's underrated around here. You just proved it. He's a first team All-NBA Defense guard, who shoots good percentages, and is signed to a good contract. I hadn't considered Simmons' trade value chart, but if it's remotely close to reality Jrue's value is huge and there's really nothing that Miami can offer that beats him unless they offer Jimmy or Bam.
Yes, and also trade clause NOT be damned, because if they want to trade Beal, they have to trade him where he wants to go. Jrue is definitely more valuable than Herro, but not to Washington, because they want a reset. If Beal ends up in Sacramento, how **** fast would Riley trade that package for Jrue, and how **** much would we hate it? Doesn't mean anything, though, because it's all about Beal. The only way they're keeping him is if the return is something they actively do not want.

My crazy idea.
Bucks: Out/In
Bobby -> Pacers for McConnell/26/29 (not sure if this is fair, maybe only for one pick.)
Blockbuster:
Milwaukee Out:
Jrue
Grayson
Pat
Knicks Out:
Quickley
Toppin
He who shalt not be googled
Rose
1 or 2 of their 2024 firsts (Detroits, their own, Dallas or Washingtons own 1st back)
Wiz Out:
Beal
Milwaukee In:
Beal
Quickley
Knicks in:
Holliday
Grayson
Wiz In:
Rose (team option/Cut)
Pat (2yrs left)
Toppin (team option/accept)
Fournier (2yrs left)
2024 Wash 1st,
2024 Knicks 1st/Bucks 1st from Pacers
Bucks:
Quickley/McConnel
Beal/??
Khris/Marjon
Giannis/???
Brook?/???
Some holes to fill, but would be fun at the least. Maybe you can squeeze Delon Wright from the Wiz as well.

Maybe Quickley would be instead of Beal?
He’d be great next to Holiday if we could pull it off. A Bobby-based package could put it in play in a multi-team trade in theory.
Knicks could be prioritizing getting Beal for themselves for all we know.

3 team trades exist, jrue is highly valued its obvious
Yup.
Twolves in: Jrue
Twolves out: KAT
Blazers in: KAT. Marjon
Blazers out: Simons, Nurkic, #3, #23
Pelicans in: Nurkic, #3, #42
Pelicans out: Valanciunas, Murphy, Daniels, #14
Wizards in: Simons, Valanciunas, Allen, #14
Wizards out: Beal, #42
Bucks in: Beal, Murphy, Daniels, #23
Bucks out: Jrue, Marjon
Bucks take advantage of Beals no trade clause, Wizards still get a pick, a talented young PG, and expirings. Pelicans get the pick they want while keeping their core in place. Blazers get their star.
Bucks take advantage of the Wolves GM who continues to bumble what was once a really talented team. KAT has a ton of trade value, and he's going to blow it.
Bucks now need to deal for Quickley quickly, but have more than enough assets to use in a multi team deal with #23 and Bobby.

Quickley is definitely a great target for us.
The Knicks can't prioritize Beal if Beal doesn't prioritize them, and signs point to only 2 destinations for Beal.

IQ and Jrue is a very solid pairing. Beal is the sexy name obviously but we are light years ahead of the Grayson Allen level starter we’ve been dealing with for years and that’s a damn good sign moving forward. Now let’s not talk about it, let’s be about it.

I don’t really get this thinking at all. Jrue would almost certainly net Washington a better return than what Miami will likely offer.
The issue is that Milwaukee has to involve a third team and Miami doesn’t, so trading with Miami will be simpler.

Re: Bucks Offseason Thread - Trade, news - Beal to talk w/Milwaukee and Miami
This all comes back to Bogdan unfortunately. If he didn’t bone us, we’d have a cohesive starting 5 that made multiple finals appearances the last few seasons. I firmly believe that. We had it right on the money and when we tried to pair Jrue and Bogdan as the backcourt and unfortunately that fell through and we squandered Donte as an asset shortly there after. It’s like Celine Dion profoundly said “it’s all coming back, it’s all coming back to me now”.
Fix it Horst, Grayson ain’t it.

Why would the bucks need a 3rd team tbry csn offer jrue allen n a 1st wheres the 3rd team coming from difference is the heat can offer 2 firsts is that where that 3rd team comes in

Buddy Hield as a 4th scorer seems like a straight forward-ish possibility. Essentially all his shots come at the rim of 3, leaving space in the mid ranger for Middleton and Jrue to operate. Dunno. I like the fit.

The difference is if Washington were to trade Beal it’s because they would want to rebuild and not compete. Jrue would have no value to them, thus the need of a third team.

Washington will have no interest in Jrue. They’ll only want whatever assets they can get for Jrue so a third team would be necessary.
Edit: I see LuessiT beat me to it

Jrue is more valuable than anything Miami can offer, but he also has way more value than Beal, because of Beal's contract and no trade clause.
There would be a 3rd team because we'd want there to be a 3rd team. We're not getting Beal for Jrue, we're getting Beal plus more for Jrue, if we want.

Why do you think Washington would want Miami's bad contracts? Just so they can land some almost useless late 1sts?
