By judging your avatar and sig I would think you would want Lin back

You deal with year 3 in year 3

This kid pans out, he gives us our best Chance to Win a Title in Years 1, 2 and 3.

I remember being told during the Summer of 94, Madison Square Garden was making 1 million Dollars a day.

Houston was the only team to offer Lin a contract. Was he supposed to just quit basketball?

He said felton downgrades our chances at winning which is not possible if he played better than Lin in NY.

We have a 3-year window. If Lin continues where he left off he's already good enough to be a contributed on a contender; if he can reach his potential in the next 3 years then we can be a contender. He'll be here in years 3, 4, and 5; those are the years where the good players really start to improve.

Jared Dubin ‏@JADubin5
"I'd rather have Felton" = "I'd rather have a player who definitely isn't very good than one who might be really good but might not."

Jared Dubin ‏@JADubin5
18,000 minutes worth of evidence says Ray Felton is a slightly below average NBA player, but who am I to judge?

This pretty much sums it all up, especially the first one.

Guys we got a good PG, who wants to be here. We needed another PG, because I really feel J-Kidd will be our starting SG.

My feeling is the Knicks are not gonna rush Shumpert back this year.

As for Lin, I know that poison pill in year 3 is a killer, but I really see Dolan matching. It just makes sense since we are already over the CAP.

We are **** going for it & I personally love it

I'll be pissed if true. But Felton's "reported" comments (if true) were definitely weird. If Lin was staying, don't think he would have said what he "reportedly" said. (Taking it with a grain of salt because you can't believe everything reporters say nowadays and that's why the "reports" are in quotes).

Cause Felton is talking to the media about how he's replacing Lin. What happens if Lin comes back? There'll already be tension between the 2. Dude needs to shut the F up and realize we could care less about him at the moment.

right, but giving up on the knicks? it's frustrating; it's been frustrating for a decade, but emotions are just running too high right now. lin's been a great story and i'd love to have him back, but if he goes to houston and blossoms, sure i'll root for him, but i'll pray for us to embarrass him every time we play the rockets.

It's not just about one single player though. You can't seriously see the direction/trend this club is heading and has headed for years. They're giving up every single draft pick and every single young player. In this off season alone, they have traded the remaining draft picks we had and nearly traded Shump for a 40 year old and now will probably give up Lin soon. There is next to zero upside, hope, potential and future in this club.

Because it all feeds into Dolan's bottom line. You think he doesn't recognize that? So he'll sacrifice the overall performance of his company as a whole just to keep his budget for "basketball operations" reasonable? He's looking at the bottom line, period and Lin is a net plus on the bottom line.

Not a move we recover from -- either for the roster or for the fans. It'd be the end.

I've been a fan since '83 but even I could go no further.

I feel pretty much the same .
Im so sick of this franchises idiotic moves year after year .
Constant bad trades , throw away picks , youth , and hope every year . Even different this year just letting talent walk out the front door .
Just tired .
Loyal to a fault most of the time , but there comes a moment when you realize youve seen these mistakes too many times and its NEVER going to change .
So yes this will be the final straw for me .

No im not bandwagon so i wont convert to any other bball team but i will probably watch the absurdity that is todays NBA from afar .

**** you James Dolan you have wasted too many years of my life with false hope .

(and with all this said if they match Lin all is forgiven GO NYK ! ) lol

This isn't just a one-season thing.

Playing in a timeshare with Ty Lawson and mostly as a 3rd guard in the rotation.

Yes it is. We're guaranteed to not win a title.
