If he walked away with Bender, who many had wanted all year, it would be an excellent draft for us. He can be stashed for a year and Masai can use the 27th pick on whoever is left from:

Prince
Jackson
Luwawu
Maker
etc.

Doubt Bender will drop to 9th but if he does I'm going to jump for joy and not try to get stuck ^_^

9+27 are going to cost us 3.1m dollars next year that's nothing

But two roster spots is pretty significant. I'm not even a big supporter of the stash, but I certainly understand the appeal from an asset management perspective. It's flexibility.

Had thought Frenchman Timothe Luwawu might intrigue Masai and the Raptors, but he told me he hasn't had any contact with Toronto. - Ryan Wolstat

See my sig guys

I am feeling Timothe is our guy haha

here you go:

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

It's still cap space and a roster spot and starts their clock toward RFA without them playing meaningful minutes for us. If Bender plays all year in the DLeague - he's one year closer to RFA status. If he's stashed overseas - his clock doesn't start until he comes over. By stashing him, we'd avoid burning years where he's cheap and cost controlled but playing mostly in the DLeague.

ONE.
MORE.
DAY!!!

Damn I'm excited. I'm going to be standing outside the ACC watching and it better not turn out like the last time I did that. My 3rd favorite prospect Drummond(Had him behind only Davis and Beal) magically fell into our lap and...We know how the story ends.

Tomorrow will be different I say!
Tomorrow we will be rewarded for our patience.
Tomorrow we are canceling the memories of Bargnani!!!

He looks like a big Jose Calderon shooting the ball. Or maybe I'm just pooling him in with another Spaniard, but to me he resembles Jose's style a lot. And Jose was a knock down shooter. I just hope he doesn't play defense like Jose, even though that clap on jumpers was lethal...

i think teams trading picks means 1 thing: the draft isn't a strong one,i.e. don't be surprised if players drafted in 20s may turn out to be better than the lottery picks, as those players will be playing for playoff calibre teams, obviously depending whether they get mins also

Did these guys actually watch the Western Conference semis? Did they not see the massive front line of Durant/Ibaka/Adams causing havoc with Golden State in a way no one previously imagined possible? The only reason they lost is because Dion Waiters and Andre Roberson couldn't make an open 3 to save their lives.

Small ball is getting overrated. It makes sense to have 3 point shooters on the perimeter, but great big men who's efficiency equals that of a top 3 shooter are still valuable. I'm hoping Casey figures this out before JV retires.

This draft is looking like trash with teams trying to dump them. I've never seen it like this before.

lol everyone but us! At this rate I wonder if Ross can get us a first rounder.

Seems like a crappy draft based on all the picks that are available.
