Is the claim here that Butler was going off on Thibs, Layden, Towns and Wiggins? If that is true he needs psychiatric help.

Jimmy Butler will be traded to the Clippers by the end of the day.
Pieces have been altered. Things are REAL fluid.
I understand everyone’s frustration.
Butler will not be a Timberwolf tomorrow.

All-Star Jimmy Butler participated in Minnesota's practice, a session that included him verbally challenging teammates, coaches and front office, league sources told ESPN. Butler was vociferous and emotional at times, targeting Thibodeau/Layden/Towns/Wiggins. Story soon on ESPN.

Howard you certainly have coconut sized balls to come here after your completely failed claims earlier and now proclaiming you know of a new trade that is absolutely going down. Trade I am cool with is Harris, SGA and FRP. Anything less we just continue to hold on to Butler.

Unless he walks at seasons end.
Is it worth a 8th seed and all the turmoil this season?
Give me JRich and Unpro FRP and be done with it. He has zero voice left in this locker room. Who's going to listen to him know he's not into the Wolves.
I get that he's a professional, but Towns may not be, and he considers this his team now.
Jimmy just like Thibs has lost this team.

At one point in a scrimmage, sources said, Butler turned to GM Scott Layden and screamed, "You (bleeping) need me. You can't win without me." Butler left teammates and coaches largely speechless. He dominated the gym in every way. Jimmy's back.

Do you remember the annoying kid in grade school who would keep repeating something he thought was funny and was the only one to laugh.. over and over, looking for attention... (I dont mean Jimmy )

I don't understand the reason for this.
Anyone?
Jimmy is a member of our team is the reason. Do you need more reason than that?
Again, he's only a member because Thibby is to stuck in his own sh*t.
Every other team member was here three weeks ago. Rehab B*LLSH*T, taking photos at lifetime while other grinding it out. That's dedication right there.
Jimmy and his agent are crawling back to the Wolves because his demand isn't what he thought it would be. Whatever happened to him only playing in LA Brooklyn or NY?

I actually sort of like that Butler is there causing all these problems and challenging Towns and Wiggins and their desire. It may be about the only thing that lights the fire they need to grow further.

After WOJ tweeted it, the guys on The Jump said Jimmy did this and dominated practice because he was so upset they didn't pay him this summer (but they did to Towns). He showed coaches & players they need him because he's they're best player and he deservingly so needs to be paid.

I agree that it’s risky, for injury and for personality conflicts. However, it appears to be worth the risk for all involved, if Thibs says,
“Listen Jimmy. I’m trying to trade you, but you’ve tanked your trade value this summer with rumors of unprofessionalism, and the lingering hand injury. If you want off the team, the only place you’re going to raise your trade value is on the court.”
Are we going to gain time or lose time with this move? What if other teams will wait too? What if Butler wants to sign a 5yrs deal with us, but does not want to play for us? Once you give him that contract there is no leverage at him.
I'm glad you raised this issue because I've given it a lot of thought. I always wondered why teams with cap-space were so willing to do sign and trade deals. But when you think about it, every player wants to be valued, and money is the best way to demonstrate you value them. Having Jimmy's Bird Rights makes a trade with every team a possibility in the offseason. From Jimmy's perspective, what better way to demonstrate you value a player than by moving assets to place him in the best position possible financially.
Here's the other piece. An article was posted a while ago showing the cap-space of teams for the upcoming offseason and we found out it's very limited. It's even more limited, when you have to surround your team with additional talent and sign your own players who may be free agents. Trading for Jimmy may cost you assets, but in some cases it also positions you by being able to unload contracts and create cap-space. The real good GM's and VP's know that the value of an NBA Allstar goes beyond just the dollars, but also his ability to draw other players. Perfect example would be cases like Wade, Cousins, Rose, Deng, Anthony, Tolliver, etc, etc. Players who have already make their money in the league, and now find themselves in a unique situation due to age or injury, but who can still have offer something to a team at a minimal price.

If we can believe the rumors the offers have been getting better and better by "THIBBY" being stuck in his own ****. However, it was officially reported as Taylor turning down the offer from Miami, whatever it was.

K so we offered him 120,000,000 which he declined so he could make 190,000,000 next year? What were we supposed to do?Loyal[]Wolf wrote:KGdaBom wrote:Loyal[]Wolf wrote:At one point in a scrimmage, sources said, Butler turned to GM Scott Layden and screamed, "You (bleeping) need me.
