So if you think how I think. What draft pick would you want the Knicks to take under the basis they will likely get a most if not the entire next season focused on development but not play a lot?

there's only one answer

I support it but I honestly think he is taken before we pick.

Tankathon has him going 16th, I don’t know where givony has him because im not paying to see but he should be there. Nikola Jovic is another draft and stash option at this point I’d support it because a rookie won’t get minutes next year

You watched a highlights package, so you missed everything that wasn't a highlight.

He shot 40% from the field, 30% from three, and 65.7% from the line (.495 TS%) and had about a 1:1 assist/turnover ratio.

He's talented and had some great moments, but very raw and inconsistent in the games I watched him.

Mhm he can be very up and down but when you look deeper its easy to see why he's still worth the risk (and if he went back there's a strong chance he get to the lottery in 2023). Jump shot was inconsistent but shot like 50% on middle & right side midrange shots (pull up form looks a lot smoother than his catch and shoot), 43% at the rim in half court but got there a ton and with ease (sometimes he'll smoke some easy ones ala RJ, other times he just needed more strength or to embrace the contact and go through instead of around).

Free throws aren't great but his foot placement is inconsistent and awful so I wouldn't be shocked if he could clean that up and be in the 70-80% range. Passing he needs better ball placement (tend to be a little low) but for a two his vision is fine. Think his floater game is concerning and needs to improve, but he shot well midrange and gets to the rim fine enough in the meantime.

I think you can get away with playing Sochan as a small-ball 5. That could really open things up allowing this team to feature a more modernized approach to the offense.

Reminds me of Dennis Rodman. Does he have a motor? Also, he has a little hitch in his release.

Motor is very good from what I hear. He reminds me of Nic Batum but with more defensive refinement in place of Nic's offensive refinement. But they both have those "swiss army knife" games.

They get a TBD from me. Generally the draft picks have been good. But even there it seems with OBI they created a redundancy with Randle still being the go to guy.

More Sochan Intel. He' definitely at the top of my list, But I don't want to get too excited because I can envision the Spurs swooping in to steal him from us.

Me too. Like I respected picking Obi over Haliburton or even Maxey, not trading up for Maxi, IQ over Banes...
I guess Grimes and Jokobitus is ok after Knicks won all the games and destroyed draft position.

If there’s someone at the top they feel can be that guy the FO better use every asset we have to get him. We have a bunch of picks and some ok young players but it all means nothing without getting that one potential superstar first which I’m not sure is on the roster yet
