After watching a bunch of nurk clips the perfect analog for Nurk is Saric, their games are very very similar, Nurk just a bigger version. So if you liked Saric you will like Nurk, highly skilled, physically limited

I absolutely hated Dario Saric. Hopefully a bigger version of him helps.

This DeAndre trade was actually a curveball for me.
All this years wanting this guy gone and when he actually goes, I was not ready (or gave up) for it.

I really liked Dario, actually hoping Nurk plays as hard as Dario did and the injuries aren't as debilitating as they were to Dario

That's a good comparison. Dario was a better 3 pt shooter for longer...meaning he had a lot more volume over the years were Nurkic only did it one year.

And obviously Nurkic is a better rebounder and more physical.

Just to look at it another way.

We traded the number 1 pick in the 2018 draft + a 2nd rounder in 23 for 4 first round draft picks.

Nurkic 16th pick
Johnson 21st pick
Alllen 21st pick
Little 25th pick

We got experienced youth to add to our big 3 for a guy that really did not want to be here.

Yes, he may not have said it but he has wanted out ever since he did not get his max extension. I think he truly believed most Suns fans wished they would have drafted Doncic and could not get that out of his head. He looked forward to playing in Indiana and we matched. That was not what he wanted. He liked his Bahamian teammates more than his Suns Teammates, WTF.

I think he will do well in Portland, maybe very well. It would not have worked well in Phoenix this year. Unfortunately he had to go.

Has he wrote a letter saying a goodbye to the Phoenix Suns Fans that put up with him the last 5 years???

This is the Nurk i hope the Suns get, it's from 5 years ago he moved so much better, hopefully he slimmed down a little and has recovered from the injuries from the past few years, because if it's this version it's going to workout if it's the version from the past couple not so sure.

They mention him at one point losing 30 and being down to 270 hopefully that's about where he plays at this year 270-280 range

Yikes, still remember Dario being unplayable in '21 playoffs even before the injury.

I think Saric is a better 3pt shooter than Nurkic but yeah his lack of mobility and unathleticism was a huge liability for certain matchups. At least Nurkic is bigger and taller so he can't get pushed around in the post.

Nurk is really looking slim, probably the slimmest he's looked in years. A slim and motivated Nurk is good. Will help against a lot of guys. He still won't be able to keep up against AD because of foot speed and talent, but it's good to see he came in slim.

I think you guys will really love his screens and his passing is nothing else.

Yeah, I commented even in the first video a couple pages back that he looks a lot thinner. You can see it on his face very much. It should increase his mobility, and lessen the injury risk for sure. Yet he is still like 270 pounds, so not getting pushed around either.
If he is motivated (looks like that for sure) and we get a bit lucky (only small injuries during the season, healthy for the playoffs) he could be a very good addition.

I dunno man. I have been watching his highlights from just this past season, and when he is healthy enough to play, I don't agree that he has fallen THAT far off from 2018. Check these clips in particular. He is for sure slower than 5 years ago, but is still not nearly as flatfooted as Saric, is actually dunking, while having a 3-point shot now.

And if he did get in better shape this offseason, there's another reason to believe.

Never said he's "great". Apparently you missed the part of the conversation about what his strengths are and how that fits into what the Suns are actually trying to do.

To be fair though.....

Got it Nurk is perfect for the Suns and is exactly what they needed. We will see

See you did it again. First it was "great". Now it's "perfect". Don't be so obvious.

In his defense, you did call Nurk a "poor man's Jokic"

That kind of nonsensical hyperbole deserves an equally wild comment. In no way, shape, or form is Nurkic even in the same stratosphere as Joker. In this or any other universe.

Nurk can't lace Joker's shoes and to compare them or even put them in the same sentence as one another is offensive and makes your basketball knowledge look elementary and basic-at best.

Nurk is a slightly better Saric. The version of Saric that tore his ACL, not the younger one. THAT version of Saric is wayyyyyyyyy better than Nurkic as well.

PS: I respect your opinion so I'm guessing you're just going overboard on this. By accident.

GSW opening night.

I'd put Bates-Diop on Paul speed won't be an issue and he can smother him.

The rest are more fundamental - Beal on Curry, Booker on Thompson, Durant on Wiggins, Nurkic on Looney.

Dave King and Slum Charles hate the trade so it’s definitely a good one. How does it feel to always be wrong?

When I read about last trade so I think Jones is licked by everyone GM in this league. For example he can’t trade Jae and after trade Mikal for KD , GM Nets trade Jae in higher price than Jones received.

I'm literally right about virtually everything I post.

Better question: why are you still here, shouldn't you be in the Portland forum complaining about Ayton? He doesn't dunk remember.
