Let's talk it out. What views of mine do you interpret to be racist? Perhaps we can have a good-faith exchange and understand each other better after.
We touched on it briefly a few or several pages back. I don’t see a reason to discuss because some of those things I vehemently disagree with you on and I can honestly say there's not much that can change my mind on those things.
But, to your point, these are your views and despite my opinion, you have every right to have them and express them, and I would prefer to leave it at that. This is ultimately supposed to be a discussion on Trump's attempted assassination.
Fair enough, appreciate the thoughtful response.
Maybe fate will have us share a blunt outside MSG after a thrilling Knicks playoff victory, enjoying the simpler things in life.

Why do I get the feeling come November, Biden is going to win in a pretty unremarkable election and people will look back and realize Trump’s campaign is purely on social media. Who is this appealing to?

I began to think this after the Red Wave stuff from the last cycle was 100% social media generated. The amount of people who this appeals to isn't a large group imo.
Most Americans aren't as loud about this stuff outside of social media.
Well, except people like the white dude who lives around the corner that has a Punisher skull on his F150 and a "F*ck Joe and the ho!" bumper sticker

IMO i'd rather have a strong leader over a spineless administration and a weak America. Come Nov 4th, I guess we will see if that 30% is actually closer to 60%.
Damn that’s some real beta behavior
You sound programmed ....that's real beta reaction.

Is Trump not a threat to democracy? Do actually disagree?
I don't believe he is. Definitely not relative to Democratic policies that restrict business growth, a strong America, free speech, family values , capitalism etc. I feel way less "Free" under the Democrats than Trump.
Interesting.
Can you provide an example of a way that Democratic governance has restricted your constitutionally guaranteed freedoms in any way? Just one or two if you want. I just want to see why you feel that way.

I don't expect to change your mind, but
Inflation was largely the corporations trying to increase profits. Corporations that support Trump, and I don't want to say that it was whole an effort to boost Trump, but it's a fact that corporations were eager to raise prices after covid. That would have happened anyway, but . . . corporations are also happy to help Trump because he's more likely to cut corporate taxes and far less likely to raise minimum wage. So, blaming Biden for that, when a lot of it was COVID restrictions ending, and not recognizing that the party you support is pro corporation, is a questionable stance.
Inflation is going down now, by the way. That's the free market kicking in. Corporations raised prices as much as they could, then adjusted back down for the market.
Covid started under Trump. Also, when covid started, hospitals were overrun. Our system couldn't handle it. Restrictions actually were necessary, at least for a while. Maybe not 2 years. Certainly, more than 2 weeks. Who promised 2 weeks by the way? I don't remember that.
White supremacy played a role on the attack on the capital. I don't think Biden's claim was as far off as you think.
Do you think liberalism is the greatest threat to America? Just curious.
The covid vaccination wasn't dangerous and people in some positions were required to take it or lose their job. I'm sorry if that upsets you, but it's not that unreasonable.
Biden barely talks about Trans rights a whole lot. He actually spoke against surgeries. Trans is in the culture. That's not on Biden.

Race guidelines for hiring precede Biden by about 50 years.
Biden never compared Trump to Hitler. I know people who have. Trump's vice president pick has. I'm pretty sure Biden hasn't.
. . .
I know none of this will change your mind, but a lot of your points aren't good points. Maybe we can agree on that much.
Inflation IS government increasing the money supply. It's not even true that increasing your prices increases profits. This is all basic economics, but people know things because they repeat what they hear in the mainstream media.
Liberalism is not a threat to America, socialism is, and that is where America is headed.
Small tangent here, but that's also correct.
Inflation is not primarily from "Generic corporate greed" (that may be part of it and/or downstream behavior).
It's roots come from inflating the money supply, which makes everyone saving/being paid in dollars subsidize these hidden taxes (to fund, you know, the war in Ukraine, etc.
On a more practical/pragmatic note, if you hate this nonsense, I encourage you all to invest in Bitcoin. Consider it protesting/voting with your money by exiting the fiat monetary system (even if only partially). If your patient and HODL through the volatility, you'll be greatly rewarded for your bet.

I'm simply trying to remind you that a person died over this. There's nothing bad ass about this, it's a tragedy that should have never happened. I'm not blaming Trump for the incompetence of the USSS.
I disagreed 100% with the victim's views and hate speech but I have empathy for him and I find it messed up that Don can't even be bothered to call his widow to offer condolences.
