Flat out winner and will be a great role player in the league imo. They are not exactly the same but he is this year's Brogdon.

He was on a really egalitarian offence and a deep team, so I think the idea is that he could be a good defensive 3 against longer forwards who can also hit the 3 on O and maybe he'll develop a bit more of a driving game in time. His assist numbers are awful but if we're looking for wing/forward types he can probably survive as a 5th option without being a good passer. If you assume the team going forward for the next couple of years is Lowry-Derozan-Wright-Powell-Carroll-Siakam-JV-Poeltl and whichever 1 or 2 of Ibaka, Patterson and Tucker get brought back, the shakiest wheel there is at forward.
I thought he looked good on D in the tournament, but not special, necessarily. If his shooting is for real and we think he can put on the bit of strength/weight he will need to, despite being 22 already, I could see him being the pick based on us having tax issues and so badly needing a contributor at forward for cheap with the pick.

There's definitely a hole at small forward. Only position we don't have a prospect at who's played minutes with the club. Even if Bruno turned a corner and looked like he could play dome minutes, there would still be room for another taller wing given hat both Carroll and Tucker are older players.

What is the ceiling for Kurucs?

Yeah. You have to assume that if Lowry comes back we've got Lowry, DeRozan, Powell and Wright to cover all the guard minutes, some of the 3 (Powell) and then JV and Poeltl are big 5s, so then it's a question of who we resign, but basically any combination of Ibaka, Tucker, Patterson or Carroll staying allows for a forward who can space the floor to get decent minutes.
Seems like that list is:
Justin Jackson, Anunoby, Devin Robinson, Lydon, Kurucs, Ferguson, Motley, Iwundu, Ojeleye, Oliver, Blossomgame, and Bolden would be the names we've gotta be looking at.

1. Bam Adeboya..Big man with tones of potential at both ends .. Athletic version of Emeka Okafor
2. Harry Giles..injury concerns, but skill wise he could end end being one of the best prospects in the draft ...
3.Jawun Evans ... underrated point guard who could end up being solid nba starter
4.Hamadio Diallo .. if he stays in school, he is top 5 pick next year ..right now he is steal at 23
5. Justin Jackson... Good role player who is nba ready ... at worst case you get a solid bench player at #23.. safe pick

Like 1.,3 and 4. I think Kurucs will be a point forward Kyle Singler but with more offence, ball handling and you can stash him. I thinkThornwell is first round material.

I'm gonna go with -
1. Dillo - Gotta go with a super high potential kid, develop him in the 905 - possible star potential
2. Thornwell - strong guard, gamer (if Powell starts at the 3 next year, this kid could be a solid 2guard prospect to have, he's a winner)
3. Iwundu - Big, long guard (I like a guy that can handle the ball and playmake - seems like a good passer. Showed in the 1st round how having a 3rd creator on the court)
4. Jonah Bolden - solid 3/4 prospect (athleticism, shooting and length)
5. Bam - perfect energy big for today's NBA (block shots, set screens and catch lobs .. I think his game can translate better in the NBA, plus his shot ain't broke like Dwight/Jordan)

Pretty much agree here. Nice mix of serious upside - Dillo, going senior safe with Norm II - Sindarius and BPA. No point in drafting if you do not go BPA. I think Bam is a great pick and ditto Iwundu. Going to be hard to land Diallo because he'll look for a promise and there may be reservations from teams who didn't like his self appointed dressed/red shirt status for half a season. He pretty much chose not to play to keep his stock up but played understudy in case he comes back to Kentucky which is the more likely scenario. Maybe the Bucks will promise him since they have taken fliers on Giannis and Thon.

Didn't Thon Maker make similar choice to avoid college basketball?
