Fournier posted a video of himself driving around Boston this morning, so it looks like he's out of quarantine.

Huh? This dude shares 3 articles. 2 of them are from 3 years ago. The other one is from january 2019 and in that article it says "the congenital condition in the rookie center’s knees known as popliteal artery entrapment syndrome has receded."

Receded means it went away...like my hairline 10 years ago.

So the last article that actually says PAES is bothering Time Lord is from 3 years ago.

Let's all relax here..

He missed last night's game with knee soreness. That can mean anything. Maybe he bumped knees someone in practice on Wednesday and they just kept him out last night as a precaution. Teams are resting everyone right now who is even remotely injured or sick to increase the chances they have a healthy roster come playoff time..

Since we are giving advice mine would be to relax on telling people who have a pretty damn good and reliable track records on these things to relax and low key trying to belittle them

They should just go ahead and have the surgery. It's not going to clear up, on its own.

You're getting kind of nasty for apparently not having read the context on this thread.

A) As posted above:

That is exactly where this condition may present itself with inflammation,

B) Not all of the links I posted were from 3 years ago, but they were in response to the OP asking whether that reported diagnosis had ever been confirmed.

I think I know who ought to relax here.

1) Ok, I stand corrected that it's a calf thing he had last night.

2) There's still nothing being reported about Time Lord missing last night's game that is specifically telling us this is related to his PAES condition.

3) I have still yet to see any article indicating that his PAES has caused any issues whatsoever dated any more recently than July 2018.

4) Prior to last night, Time Lord had missed a whopping 0 games to injury over the past 2 months.

Based on those 4 points, IMO people are getting a little out of hand here, especially the person who is saying that we need to get Williams into surgery.

And for the record, I purposely made the joke about my receding hairline to try and lighten the mood and show that I'm just here to have fun, yet people still think I need to relax and that I'm being nasty..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

The PAES thing wont go away by itself. It's best to address it, before it becomes a major impediment.

Yeah, you might be right. Maybe get him a 2nd opinion and have some type of procedure done during the offseason if necessary.

We want this guy healthy for the long haul. I can see him as our center for the next 6 or 7 years.

It's like the Hoop God was just like, Celts are finally healthy? They've won 7 of 8, and even have Romeo Langford back?

If we can get the full squad healthy for the final 10 games or so, I will be happy.

I realize I just might have to find happiness elsewhere. :(

Get this squad healthy so JB and JT don’t have to take turns hulking out like this. I mean, I love it, but we need to save some of this hulking out for the playoffs.

Fournier returned to Celtics practice facility this past Friday. I saw a video that showed him pulling into the practice facility.

So then it's just getting his conditioning up and back into game shape.

I'll be very surprised if he does not make his return on Thursday.

Thurs and Fri are back to backs so I figure those first 2 games he'll be on mins restriction, probably no more than 20-25 mins each game.

Obviously getting him back for these 2 games would be huge since we're facing 2 really good teams, the Suns and Nets. Having him will also be big since Kemba is going to sit the Nets game.

I bet he really wants to play vs the Suns too - he knows that this is what happened the last time he faced the Suns..he had a hell of a game and hit the game winner:

I gotta believe the Celtics are also worried about the hearts of the athletes. Reggie Lewis looms large on the franchise, even though it was so long ago and none of the people involved are around.

Fantastic, let's hope he's up for today's game.

edit: oh, okay, thursday or friday it is then
Good assessment:
