Bickerstaff was running that offense like it was the mid 1990s. Atkinson probably tweaked a few things and opened everything up for them.

They are pushing the pace more. I heard in practice that they had an 18 second shot clock.

DMitch isnt dominating the ball as much.

I hear that. If your 3 point shooters are better than everyone else's you absolutely want to push the pace

weirdly they are only 13th in three point attempts

Bickerstaff is also getting positive reviews for getting Detroit to give a lot of effort particularly on defense.

Man. He is really taking the jump. So may here wanted him in the draft. Imagine having traded up for him with the Pels at #8 in the 2022 draft. Shame...

Yeah he was my dark horse candidate for ROTY if Edey didn't take it. His game translates, and JJ Redick will play all the minutes available for a guy who's not scared to shoot the 3.

It was astonishing how many open catch-and-shoot looks he had from 3-point range. Utah's defense is embarrassing.

Still, they quickly cut a Boston lead down from 21 points to 2. The Celtics shot an unreal three-point percentage and still only won by 3.

Dedicated to those in this forum who were rightly excited for Franz during his pre draft chatter. Wow.

I think it’s a good idea. The regular season is a total joke, particularly in the East. 36 wins was enough to make the play-in last year. With this new rule along with the addition of 2 teams, you will likely need a .500 record just to make the play-in, and you’ll probably need 47 wins to claim a top 6 seed and a guaranteed playoff series.

With the pressure to win that much higher, there will be less load management.

My question would be do they then balance the schedule as far as what are now out of conf games?

Probably not. The additional travel is harder on players.

So the East will still be a bit easier, but at least it won't be a double whammy: an easier schedule AND a lower threshold to make the playoffs.

It's been quiet for a reason. He's only played 10 games.

His scoring is way down but he’s shooting super efficiently. I don’t watch the suns much but I take it he’s settled into the 3rd option role

I watched Phoenix beat the Lakers last night.

Beal looks like he's 10-15 pounds lighter than he was as a Wizards player. He attacked the basket very quickly. He had a highlight reel block of LeBron's shot.

He never stays healthy, but I think this is the best version of Beal. Phoenix can be a dangerous playoff team.
