Again, putting on my tinfoil hat. Unless Miles and her were already doing bad and this timing was on purpose to spite him of his big payday. Not saying it is likely, just think the narrative could be there. Even if the answer was 5% of a chance then I have no issue with how Hornets are handling it.

I also, don't put a ton of value on the kid video. If anything that reflects more poorly on her. I have a 3 yr old nephew and he will literally say whatever you tell him to say. Kids don't understand what they are saying 50% of the time.

One can imagine any number of scenarios, but his wife was visited by police at the scene, she was transported to the hospital, and showed portions of the report that confirmed fractures and other damage.

This thing was real, is real, and Miles is a POS.

What if, and hear me out here. TMZ doesn't have the full story? Has that ever happened before?
Or the thousands of fans who have already decided whether innocent or guilty? don't know as much as lets say... the Hornets?
I am sure Hornets have done far more digging into the event then anyone on here and the fact they didn't immediately cut him. What if there is more we don't know?

After all it would not be the first time someone lied... in the last month. Did anyone watch Amber Heard trial? She basically was putting makeup on trying to show Depp was assaulting her. Why? Cash grab. Humiliation. Tarnish his reputation.

Once again, not saying I know or feel a certain way. Just think there has to be a 10% chance that it may not appear the way it seems. And if it truly is 10% chance then he should be innocent until proven guilty and not the other way around. That is how the system is supposed to operate.

My honest opinion is not in favor of Miles right now, but I also am fine holding off final judgement until more details come out. It does us essentially no good to cut him right now if we have no secondary plan of action.

Pictures were enough for me. Don't even really care if she pulled a knife or gun on him. Those injuries were from half a dozen or maybe even a dozen or so blows from one of the most athletic and strong men on the planet.

Anything is possible and I always take what TMZ reports with a grain of salt, but I’ve got to imagine that there would’ve been a public statement by Miles denying allegations. We obviously do not know a lot, but it’s pretty likely he did assault her and if he didn’t and this is somehow staged or whatever then that would be the best news ever. I give that scenario a .003% chance though

That’s another thing that makes this look so bad, it doesn’t seem like he just lost it and took one swing or shove. Those injuries are from repeated hits. I can only imagine that whole scene. Despite it all though, It’s extremely odd for her to post this organized IG post with all of the evidence including putting her son online to say those things. That was very much to ensure the world got to hear and see all of the details. I’m still trying to understand what the motive was for handling it that way 24 hours after the incident.

Just still so let down and disappointed in Miles. Most fans were really excited to see him pair up with LaMelo for the long haul. I guess that mouthpiece incident was a small glimpse into the lack of emotional control he has probably always had.

I just hope our team doesn’t have to take a total loss for this somehow. If we retain his rights/contract and next season we have the ability to trade him then that would be great.

I think the extension concept you quoted is just an extension to keep it open past the 10/1 deadline for the QO to be accepted by a RFA. Doesn't have to do with our ability to pull it, don't believe we can do that past today.

Also doesn't really make sense to extend the QO at that point, would be really weird to have a standing offer to a RFA that goes into the regular season.

I don't think it's that rare, OKC had 10 million+ in like 4-5 cap holds the entire season last year just because they had space and could. My gut says we aren't going to pull it. Even if he does accept it, it would only be 7 million we are paying him which is nothing even if he is suspended the whole season, hell we are paying Batum more than that to play for someone else haha.

A cap hold isn't exactly the same as a QO though, just because you have a hold doesn't mean the player can just decide to accept a contract with you for the amount of the hold.
