Lol I'm in the states but I've completely avoided watching ESPN contrary to what I'd normally do when I'm down here ..if he stays I will definitely change that lol

LeBron is the one who exposed the ability to collude and tamper for players. That tweet about Kawhi not having his decision made yet, and that Lakers aren't ahead of anyone could be smokescreen by his camp after so many people started saying Kawhi to Lakers is done.

I’m not an economics guy but I just don’t see any argument that it’s better for NB to have their biggest star in Canada versus Los Angeles.
Even with the title, the Raptors’ exposure in US and globally will pale in comparison to the Lakers’, with or without Kawhi.
The advertising that comes to NB from that alone crushes what can be accomplished in Canada.
Plus recruiting other players to join the New Balance stable will be more effective with Kawhi in LA.

It’s not a bad thing for New Balance for Kawhi to stay, but LA would be far better for their marketing.

i'm rewatching highlights of this season and i think Kawhi looks sooo good in a raptors uniform. Hope HE STAY

I find it hard to believe that Raptor fans will have a “favorite” team that has Lebron on it.

Plus, with the upcoming release of the Air Dudley, the Lakers are basically a Nike team.

Sure they just went through ridiculous problems right now, but the guy who got "back-stabbed", is still so loyal to the franchise that he recruited for them. The dysfunction for them (as enjoyable it is for me) is likely temporary.

You have to be kidding on the marketing end lol.

China LOVES Lebron/Kobe/Lakers. They're a much more global brand than the Raptors are.

These are unfortunate things we can't change. Our only hope is Kawhi focus's more on the fact that we have proven ourselves to him, rather than taking a leap of faith with the Lakers.

1. What the Lakers have done historically does not make their current ownership, management, coaching, or team "proven" in any way whatsoever. Their current group has never even made the playoffs - even with LeBron.( And LeBron is old and injured. And AD has never been on a good team, and has injury issues as well.) This is a clear edge for the Raps.

2. Given our GM and cap situation we're in a better position to win going forward.

3. Absolutely not kidding marketability wise, and there are many marketing pros that agree.
