Re: Knicks plan on exploring trade scenes for Frank Ntilikina
franks defense is elite at times, in short spurts.
at least he embraces the challange, i still like him as a benchplayer and defense specialist, if he gets more consistent on that end.
im not against a trade tho. package him with dsj and get soemthing nice if yo u can, after we drafted ja morant, unless we get the 1st pick obviously.
in a vacuum Frank probably gets us a 2nd rounder, which is also fine for me
idk.. i dont like dsj too much as a our future PG

And AD gets hurt and Knicks are a 6th seed for 4 years, while Kyrie and KD melt down amid the NY Tabloid harping of unmet expectations. Trier gets sent packing for some veteran help that doesn't help. With one of those Mavs' picks, so the Knicks have less assets moving forward.

Embrace it. The fans on here collectively can't handle having young players. Mitch is the only one who isn't hated by half the posters. That'll probably wear off too.

Kadeem Allen. Not sure if Torrey Craig is unrestricted next year.

He doesn't have a good handle, he can't make quick decisions with the ball, he lacks creativity, he lacks burst... There's nothing about his game that suggests that he could be a point guard in the NBA.
As a two-guard who can act as a secondary ball-handler, cut to the basket (something he needs to work on by the way), defend on the perimeter, and hopefully make a few shots from the outside, sure there's some upside there. But as a point guard? No way.
I pretty much reached that conclusion watching him this season. PG position more so than a lot of other positions is about feel and instinct. I think it’s a lot to ask a guy to pick that up at nba level.

To be honest, I don't know if Westbrook said something or not. It's mostly irrelevant.
Fact is that we have elite defensive performances that Frank put on against the top players in the game to point to when assessing him as a defensive prospect.
We don't need to rely on some subjective intangible like grit.
Frank has done nothing elite in his nba career. Has he been solid to good at times. yes, but elite at any point no.
So holding elite scorers well below their averages (and sometimes scoreless) isn't elite?
Leading the league in PPP when guarding the ball handler isn't elite?
Frank has shown elite defensive ability. To say otherwise is very curious.
What he's missing is consistency, which isn't surprising from the 20th youngest player in the league.
He has also been denied consistent opportunity.
What he has consistently shown is that if you put him at the point of attack defensively and pair him with a rim protector, you will have one of the top defenses in the league.

I will not embrace it and keep hoping for the best and for things to start getting better for this organization. It could all change very quickly for us if things could just go our way in this draft and free agency. I'm holding out hope for that to happen. If no Zion then i would love to see J.Morant playing like a true PG and dishing to guys like KD, Kawhi, AD and others, that's if we don't sign Kyrie that is. I have no problem with signing Kyrie, some nervousness of course but if he comes with KD then i'm good but think we'd be better off with Ja at PG and a KD/Kawhi combo.

I'm good with signing KD & Kyrie if we can trade every young player, in the process, for vets.

They ddint really articulate anything outside of Mills talking about people skills. Analytics itself doesn't mean anything without context. Moving Porzingis "analytically" was a good decision, but Im not sure if it wasnt just blind luck. Fizdale is anything but an analytical coach as the Knicks have the worst shot selection in the entire league.

They'll probably bring him back when we're at the right amount of games left that he can just stay up and finish the season with us. I'm not sure about this but i think he can play in like 20 more games with the Knicks or something like that.

Yes I agree. Frank would be beloved in an offense that moves the ball. I saw a documentary on the Spurs from their last championship, and I couldn't help but think Frank would fit in so well in an offense like that where over passing is welcomed.
Why build up Mudiays value when he's a free agent? Is the plan really to keep him???

Holding a player well below his average for how long a quarter? When has he done it for a game. Show me when he lead guarding the ball in points per possession. If its a small sample size then it means nothing. Please enlighten me.
