The loudest ovation thing could also be because he wasn't expected to be there, he wasn't around all weekend. If LeBron had only shown up for that moment, I'm sure his ovation would have been louder too.

Or...hear me out....MJ is the GOAT

He may be....but he never had to go through the level of competition LeBron has had to go through.

Three horrible quarters and a decent 4th quarter

I've seen like at least five times someone missed a wide open layup. And this is in front of many NBA legends. These guys just don't care, other than a few like Curry for putting up a showmanship. All that money spent on presentations and whatever, just to see bunch of guys running around like they had too much of practice before the game.

The only reason the fourth was decent is because they announced the target score that the winner had to reach. Once that was known, things tightened up significantly and free looks closed up. People actually started defending and shutting down passing lanes. You know... how it should have been played (even somewhat lightly) from the start?

Please tell me 1 team that Jordan beat that was better than:
Parker/Manu/Duncan Dynasty in their prime.
Parker/Manu/Duncan/Kawhi.
Curry/Klay/Durant/Draymond Dynasty in their prime.

Hell....even the Durant/Russ/Harden group was probably better than anything Jordan beat.

It's fine to think LeBron is the GOAT. It's fine to think Jordan is the GOAT. Not every thread involving one or the other has to devolve into a debate about it. Just appreciate the greatness and save the debate for when it's needed.

that 75 Team Announcement was the highlight of the weekend. For the first time I got to know how some legends look and be able to see them waving hands live in front of us was priceless. Chuck said it the best, the game would not be the same if not for these legends..

having said that, Dwight Howard not making the top 75 is a tragedy to the sport. I dont know what is more ridiculous , Dwight not making top 75 or MJ not making top 10 all time. It hurts my heart to even think about it and i dont even like Dwight Howard as a player.

Outside of the super team Warriors (which were together for just two seasons), Lebron's competition wasn't anything special.

Lebron lost to Dirk and bums in 2011. Then he lost again to the corpse of Duncan and a 22 year-old Kawhi in 2014. He's blown some easy finals match-ups.

I just rewatched the ceremony quite funny how the most newest candidates in the field aren't All-Stars(Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and James Harden).

I think it is very weird not to see Russell Westbrook, Steve Nash and Kevin Durant at the ceremony when old guys like Bob Pettit and injured guys like Kawhi Leonard/James Harden could make it.

That 1st finals appearance was against the Spurs in their prime and yes, while the second one came against a much older Spurs team they were still better than Chicago's competition. I've never said on this forum that LeBron was the GOAT but I'm just saying lets not pretend the competition was the same.

Durant lost his grandmother this week, so that's definitely excused. But yes, the others I don't really get it.....the league made them all multi-millionaires, what the hell is so important to not be there one night that the league really needs you?

Weird to see Damian make it to the 75th legend roster. Nothing he does screams that status.

Just throwing this out there and to sew if a productive discussion comes from it.

Lebron and Steph appear to have a strong bond. Is that a sign of what the future may become? Is Lebron to Golden State inntjenfutjre a strong possibly?

For the 2023 season GS drafts Bronny to be PG of the future. Lebron comes in and aims for 74 wins and a 16-0 postseason with a dominant squad led by emerging superstars James Wiseman & Kuminga, with a supporting cast of Curry, Klay, Dray, Poole, Wiggins, and Iguodala.

How much would NBA fans hate this?

Awkward handwaving by Scotti Pippen, Russel Westbrook and others...

Post#1936 » by dWadeOwnzYou » Tue Feb 22, 2022 5:01 pm

Did anyone see this during the All-Star Game halftime 75th special? I know that they did not attend, but why did they partake in this pre-recorded hand waving (to no one)? That's just a bit weird, unusual and unneccessary. A nice still photo would've been suffice.

Duncan, Nash, AD, and Westbrook should have been there, period.

Lebron is only bringing more awareness to Bronny and building his brand to be. Keeping him relevant in the media is a must. In don't view that roster as a thread due to age.

With one season left under contract I don't believe Lebron is going to stand for the current Laker roster. He will be out of they do some drastic moves this off-season to get better. Any moves Lebron make will need to be throughout by his group to assure it doesn't hurt his legacy and brand.
